Hi, I'm making my first serious attempt to lose some weight. I'm going to start looking carefully at the things I eat and excercising more. I ran a little in highschool, but that was more of a general fitness thing than a weightloss strategy. I've started blogging about it as well, although since this is my first week I don't have much to talk about yet.
Since I've never really made a serious attempt at this I'm not sure how much I can lose or how fast especially since most of the information I see about this comes from advertisements for questionable products.
I decided to try your forum because it's so hard to find information, everything is an advertisement for something.

Right now I'm hoping to lose about 50 pounds, after that I'll see how it goes.
I'm going to blog about my progress here. I like blogging and I hope to generate some honest information to compete for space with all the ephedra ads out there.
