I am trying to cram my Ipod with TONS of music for the gym. You know, up beat music - like CRAZY IN LOVE by Beyonce. Looking for some ideas. My list is growing, but I know there has got to be more!!! Thanks
I like Randy Stonehill... his songs are upbeat, meaningful and some funny... bix mix! He is a Christian singer and some of his songs reflect that and some are just funny songs. I love "Great Big Stupid World" -- and the way he mixes faster songs in with slower ones so I can time my workouts to them.
Destiny's Child is good to work out to because it has a good beat and you know you can shake your booty too it! Sean Paul is good, it's upbeat and fast.
These two would be among my favourites. Firstly M People - What have you done today? it's a bit of a slow burner but I find it great especially for the motivation and Whitney Houston - I wanna dance with somebody is also good.
hmm.. i find shakira can be good fo motivation.. she has a good beat. and also as cliche as this sounds.. 80's music! clogs my itunes. and find it so good to work out to.
Good thread.... I love the Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Red Hot Chili Peppers...then there are some songs that keep me moving too...One is called "Dance too much booty in the pants" and the other one is "Pull over that a** is too fat"....that really motivates me!
I know I'm from the old school, but back in the 80's a real popular workout tape (how's that for quaint?) was called "Hooked on Classics." It consisted of snippets of classical instrumental music by Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, etc. It was real upbeat and rhythmic and was perfect for doing aerobics. Even if you were just walking, the music kept you going. There were fast sections and slower sections for cooling down. Each section lasted about 5-7 minutes before a new one started.
