Good morning ladies,

Wow we sure go thru the threads quickly don't we? Love having all the posts to read. It's like reading a novel every day, with all the different things happening in everyone's lives.

Susan, I am glad Rachel is getting some much needed help..how long has she been acting like this? Has she always been a problem child or is it somethig that came on recently? Her friends mom sounds like she needs a good shaking.. letting her daughter stay out of school at such a young age and all. Do you not have truant officers in your area?

Marti, I love you adavar. And that tree sure was tall.

Jane, knees can be a real pain when they don't work right. I was knocked down in a shoe store unto a brick floor when I was 16 knocking my knee cap off. Since then I had problems with it going off all the time..they thought at one time I had water on the knee so they went to remove it, turned out it was blood from all the injuries it had sustained. I ended up having surgery on it when I was 27. When my ds#3 was only 10 days old I went to the closet to get some shoes, don't know what happened, but woke up on the floor with my knee cap dislocated and it wouldn't go back. Walked like Chester on Gunsmoke for 6 months then had surgery. After surgery it was locked for another 6 months so I was still Chester till I stepped in a whole in the dark in my front yard and bent it when I fell. Saved myself another surgery and lots of money.. but I wouldn't advise it.. Anyway, hope your knee feels better soon, cortison shots are good. Had a couple of them in my shoulder and back. They do help.

Ellen, your art work really is so neat.. do you think you could find me an adavar to use.. I like pansies but I am getting tired of it.. I like beagles, and all animals, dolls, flowers... would you see what you can find... pretty please and thank you...

Michelle, your girls are really pretty. I bet they look just like you.

Well, Mr. scale was good to me this morning. I am down another pound. I am not changing my trackor down below until I stay at this number for a few days.. I rode my bike for 30 min. last night, I cut back from 45, just don't have as much time as I used too. I'll go back to longer when the season is over. But at least I know it's doing me some good.

Angie, you are quite the seamstress. Those kids are darn lucky to have you. You just keep going like the ever ready bunny with all those customs. You deserve a rest when this production is over. I hope you get one.

I wonder how Connie is doing? And if Mindee is getting everything moved ok.

Hello to everyone else, I don't have time to do any more and I forgot what else I just read. So I better get ready to head out the door for work. It's still cold here, we had frost last night.. even had to cover my pansy display as it is outdoors. But the sun is shining so hopefully it will warm up a little more than yesterday.

Have a good one ladies, catch you this evening.

Ginny

Good morning!

Ellen, I love your artwork! It's always so cheery!

Susan, every child is so worth fighting for and I'm glad Rachel is getting the help she needs. Did you adopt her?

Jane and Marti-I actually called my sister for her crabcake recipe and then fudged it as my sister doesn't measure anything! She uses mayo (I used light), a little mustard (just for coloring) one egg per can of crabmeat you are using, and italian breadcrumbs. Can also add Old Bay if you chose. I added just a little bit, but could have added more. She said to use a good bit of mayo as you want the mixture "wet" and as I didn't have italian breadcrumbs, I mixed italian seasoning with the plain ones. The breadcrumbs are to hold the cake together. I would imagine that you can bake or broil them but I used my skillet and a little olive oil.

No weigh in for me this week as it is that TOTM. I tend to weigh heavier during those days, probably due to water. And speaking of water, what is the secret to drinking it? I hate it but know I need to drink it. I drink alot of peach flavored diet Snapple (yum!) and the occasional diet Pepsi.

Hope you are all having a good Wednesday!

Hi Ladies...sorry I've been MIA for so long

After my surgery, it hurt to type much, and now it's been 2 1/2 months and I still hurt as bad or worse than I did before the surgery. I was so scared about the stupid operation, and put it off for so long before I finally made myself do it -- and now I feel like I played my trump card and still lost the game. It's very discouraging. I'm now back to work 6 hour days, and in 2 weeks will be back to my full time schedule, but the dr. put a restriction of a 15 minute break between every single call -- which my supervisor frowned and rolled her eyes at, basically not gonna fly. So they have me helping in a training class for now, a minimum of typing, but not sure what they will do with me when the class ends. I hope I can still do my regular job. Dr. gave me a new medicine specifically for nerve pain, and it seems to be helping to keep things tolerable.

Been very depressed, and the stupid ticker is going the wrong way. Just wasn't focused, wasn't making it consistently to my WW meetings, not journalling, not really measuring food -- so trying to make a fresh start, get back on track. It's eye opening to measure breakfast cereal again and say, "oh...so THAT'S what one serving is supposed to look like!" LOL

I kept trying to read here and catch up, but I never get through all the posts, and never write anything, and the next time I log on there are even more I missed! So, just like with WW, I will try to get back on track with the board right from where I am.

We went to Disneyland for Spring Break -- ridiculous crowds, but had a blast anyway.

Susan, (((hugs))) hope things get better w/Rach very soon, that this new treatment place will be good, and a positive experience for her.

Marti -- that is a really tall tree! Our neighbors had a huge evergreen of some kind that the took down a couple of years ago. Hated to see such a stately old tree come down, but it swayed like crazy in storms, and if it came down our direction it would have demolished our roof.

Jane, owie for your poor knee! And you are too busy with all that gardening to be slowed down by a bum knee. Hope it feels better very soon

Ellen, loved the pics of all your kitties -- they are lucky to have such a devoted kitty-mom. You've probably been nominated for sainthood in the homeless cat community

Cristina, sounds like the house showing has been extremely frustrating! I would be very upset to find doors left open, or to think the lookie-loos had come and gone, only to have them barge in on my dinner.

Angie -- Jafar, sultan, genie, turbans? Sounds like...Aladdin??? When you were at Disneyland did you get a chance to see the Aladdin stage show in California Adventure? It's wonderful!

Ginny, lilacs are my favorite I've seen light purple, dark purple, and white, but never yellow! I'll have to start looking on line to see if I can find a picture. Lilacs just don't thrive here -- our spring season is too short, and it gets too hot too fast.

Welcome to the new ladies -- you probably aren't even all that new anymore, just new since I've posted

OK, that's it, can't type anymore.

Hugs,
Mary Kate

Good Morning Ladies ~ Well our beautiful sunshiny weather is no longer here. It's now very overcasted, cloudy and suppose to rain.

Marti ~ Thank you for the compliments on my DD's pictures. They are 19 and 17. I'm feeling a little better today, but still not completely back to normal.

Ginny ~ Thank you also for the kind words on my DD's pictures. The younger one looks just like me and the older looks just like my husband.

Mary Kate ~ I love your avitar picture ~ so so cute!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Good Afternoon Ladies--

Waking up to a cloudy hazy day! No rain yet....but it'll get here.

Ginny--Congrats on the pound gone. I believe I'll try and buy a new scale this weekend. I'm hoping for some kind of loss..........

Susan--My thoughts are with Rach, for getting on the right track and having someone help her through what must be a difficult time for her as well. She is definately worth fighting for! You are such a good mom!!

MaryKate--So glad to see you! I'm sorry that you're still in pain. That sure doesn't seem normal. What does the doctor say about you still being in pain? You can't take medication forever...Hugs Thank you for my postcard from DL!! Glad you got to have a vacation and forget about your pain!

Michelle--19 & 17....wow, so beautiful. Make sure you're resting and healing yourself!

Ellen--I'm sorry that your computer is causing you so much trouble. Is it an old computer??

Good afternoon to everyone else.

I have some thing to do so I better get moving.

Hugs to all!

Hello ladies...

Well, did the wally world thing. Glad I didn't have much to get. REally am getting to where I hate going there. Came home and put things away and then headed off to look for a dress. Was interrupted by Jason while in the dressing room...his car was acting up again after they just supposedly fixed it. So had to go pick him up and no dress yet. Will go try and find one tomorrow, and a gift while I'm at it.

MARYKATE...so sorry to hear about your arm still hurting. I've heard from a few people who had the same surgery and it being the same afterward. Glad you guys at least had a nice time at Disneyland!

Anyway, that's about all I have.

Have a good day!

I hate WalMart Cristi that is enough to get anyone down. Do you have a Kmart? lol

ugh, annoyed. Co worker waves to his girlfriend outside my window because she came to pick him up. Short story for those who don't know...she use to be our assistant and she was basically forced to leave because she was a total pain. Co worker though has a live in relationship with her. He is so stupid. She wants her claim overturned and we are going to court next month. She can't come on the property. Thorn in my side since day one. So, co worker starts telling me he is going out to lunch with her and it is like.............I don't want to hear her name. He is such a jerk.

Ellen - What kind of computer do you have??

Kim - What an odd question about adoption. She isn't adopted, none of my children are.

Kate {{{HUGS}}} great to see you posting!

Michelle - agree - beautiful daughters!

ok, I am getting to work.....just wanted to say hello.

Susan, I'm sorry

When I read this yesterday "She obviously has no coping skills and I don't blame her because she wasn't taught that by her parents." I just got the impression that maybe she was adopted when you said by "her parents" I guess as opposed to you and your DH. I think the only reason I read it the way I did was because my kids are adopted. I didn't want you think I had pulled that out of the blue just because Rach was going through a tough time right now...that is true of alot of kids, adopted or not.

Have I pulled my foot out of my mouth?

Kim -
It's ok, it just struck me as odd. It makes sense though reading what you just wrote. I think our seperation was a turning point for her and how we indulge as her parents. We haven't set the boundaries and haven't been consistant in much of anything. blah - blah.....have to go to counseling this afternoon.
woo hoo just heard co worker might retire later this year!!!!! omg- there is a God....hehe.....please, get him out of my hair!!!

gotta go.....
