Default A Cookbook I bought

I bought a cookbook compiled by 4 Women that live in my area..Each lost substantial amounts of weight in short period of time.Woman # 1 lost 223 pounds in 13 months,Woman # 2 161 in 13 months..Woman # 3 180 in 50 weeks.Woman # 1's Daughter lost 30 pounds and her Husband lost 54 in 3 months. Each of these Women and the Man lost(and has maintained)by eating 3 meals and 3 snacks per day, drinking 64 oz Water daily, supplementing and physical acitivity.I haven't followed the Cookbook yet as most ingredients used in their dishes are expensive(they used low-fat,sugar-free,low-sodium)items.They didn't give up their favorite Foods they just started preparing them differently.Since I have Candida I have to watch Sugar,White Flour,Carbohydrates,Gluten,Wheat, even Sugar-Free Foods and I try to stay away from Hydrogenated Palm Oils,Aspartame and other unhealthy ingredients..most of what they ate/eat I can't eat..I have to sit down and carefully consider my choices before I buy groceries so there is a lot of thought I have to put into planning and preparing. It's not easy..it totally blows my mind how they lost such significant amounts of weight in no time at all.I realize everyone's metabolism is different but I wish I could be as successful.Years ago When I lost weight once before within 6 months I didn't look the same Person but I was younger and didn't have as much to lose.I hope I don't start obsessing about how much I think I should lose by given amounts of time.I don't want to be unsuccessful but would like to see results.

Sounds pretty unhealthy to lose that much weight so fast. healthy rate is 1-2 pounds per week. Be careful.

Susan,
I agree it's unhealthy to lose fast but these Women and the Man ate, drank adequate Water, supplemented and exercised. The Woman who lost 180 in 50 weeks and the Man who lost 54 in 3 months both had High Blood Pressure and the Woman had a Stroke and also took Cholesterol Medicine. After losing neither had their specific health problems any longer.A Doctor told my Mother years ago a 2 lb per week loss is 100 lbs in a year. When I lost a substantial amount of weight years ago within 6 months time I didn't look like the same Person and I didn't starve myself either.
