I weighed in this morning and a week after starting over I am down to 144.8! Must be that gain was more fluid than anything else. Either way it got me moving and back on track, so maybe now I can get to my goal!
Still no word from Travis, but hopefully he will be calling to tell us that he is home today! I hope, I hope, I hope...
I finally got the phone call that I have been waiting so long for! Travis called late this morning from the airport in Bangor, Maine. He is safe, sound and happy to be back in the United States! He has a layover there for a few hours and should arrive at Camp Pendleton late tonight. I can't even begin to tell you all just how happy I am this afternoon!
Suzy I am sure that you are relieved. I am and I am not even his mother. I can't imagine the feelings you have gone through. You must be excited like on Christmas morning.
I am glad that you are back on track.....see you can do it even when you are under a great deal of stress.
Cheryl thanks for starting a new thread for us. How is your hubby doing? Take good care of him.
Shelley you must be stressed. I am sure that you will have done your best. Your boss is either very unorganized or expects way to much from you.
Gayle Hi there. How many hours a week are you working now? How is mom doing? When did you say that Steve is having his operation? Boy am I full of questions for you.
I am off for a walk so I can't post to everyone but I am thinking of you all.
Cheryl, tell Stewart "GET WELL SOON"!!!!! He can come to my house and scrub any toilet he wants to! I like your new header for the group! You are a GREAT sub!
Dee, I usually just get in 3 days a week the hours while Allison is in school. This week I am working 5 days because of the time off needed by the co-worker with the ill mother. My days off, I spend taking care of business & doctors appointments for my mom, doing our stuff around here and checking in with my MIL. Busy, busy... Steve will have his surgery the 20th of this month. They will be placing a new lens in his eye. They offered I could watch the procedure though a glass window if I would like... no sirrrrrreeeeeee for me! :-)
Shelley, did ya get your work done? If you don't respond, we know your on your way to Italy with the boss!
I tried something new today... I was reading were a positive outlook can help in all areas of your life as well as with food and over eating. Today I made it a point to be positive all day. Even if I had an upset at work or a co-worker was negative, I remained strong and positive. I also told myself positive affirmations all day. Tonight I just feel "better". You know, it takes no work at all to be negative, but it took work all day long to remember and stay in the positive mode.
I am back on plan, eating healthy food choices and exercising. HOPEFULLY, we can get by here a little while without another crisis.
I am so happy for you Suzy!! What great news. I must have been such a worry for you.
Shelley - Hope you got all your work done, sounds like your boss expects miracles. You always seem to deliver them too.
Gayle - I am going to try the positive thinking thing, makes sense to me.
I am staying on program. I am following WW flex program. I will try Core once I am more sure of myself. I reached my goal weight a few years ago following WW so I know it works.
Trying to exercise everyday, and get healthy.
I have so much to do around the house right now. With the arthritis inflammation I had months of not being able to do much. Washed and waxed my floors today. I am working on windows a few at a time. Raking the yard on days when its not snowing.
It as been snowing off and on the past two days.
Cheryl - I hope Stewart is feeling better.
Gayle - You are an inspiration to us all.
Quick post because I really need to get to work early. I did my best on the budget, I've still got forms to send in for approval. Now that it's the end of the year, I have to so much to do. The other person in the office told me to put my phone on do not disturb, but I can't. All the teachers are supposed to call me when the testing the kids are doing this week is done. After I get all the calls, then an all call is made that the school can go on as normal. This has been going on all week. Then, of course being at the front desk, everyone comes to me first. I can't ignore people that come in. That's just not me. I am just coping the best I can.
Suzy-I'm so happy for you!! You will see your baby soon!
Gayle-You are so busy all the time. I don't know how you do it.
Dee-How are you feeling lately?
Cheryl-You are the best moderator sub around! Thanks for all you do!
Still stressing out about Becky. UF called her yesterday. I really think that's where she absolutely wants to go, but is afraid to tell us. She says we can't afford it. How does she know? That's where she plans on transferring to next year after she has done her 1st year at FGCU.
I don't have a lot of time to post right now, but I wanted to pop in quick to tell you that Travis called again around 8:00 last night from March AFB in California and then we got an email around 1:00 am from him saying that he was HOME!
Thank you all for the support you have given me over the past months and weeks...I don't think I could have made it without you all!
Wow! Its kind of slow around here lately.
Gayle - Hope you are safe and the winds are dying down.
Shelley - Becky will make the right choice, she sounds like a very sensible young lady. It must be nerve wracking for you though.
Dee - How goes it out west? It's cold here today and we had snow again last night. Everything is frozen this morning.
Two more days to weigh-in I have been on program all week so hope it shows on the scale.
