I have a weird question. I've been doing a free weight program for about 10 weeks and during that time the veins on the backs of my hards started to protude more. I mean really come out so you can see them when usually I have smooth hands. I thought maybe it was partially because I'm losing weight and everything is showing more. But I've been a slacker for the past 2 or 3 weeks and since I haven't done weights, my veins have gone back down. Is the weight training causing this? Is it something I'm doing wrong? I just think it looks kinda gross and if there's something I can do to lessen it, I would like to know. any ideas?? Is it just me??
I've noticed the same thing on the backs of my hands and -- get this -- on the side of my forehead. I was wondering if it's weights, also, so if anybody has any answers, it would be helpful!
Veins have a tendancy to show through in the leanest parts of our bodies. When I was down to 10% BF (body fat), back in the day, I had veins in my forearms, biceps, shoulders, etc. It's not so much the weight lifting, but the fact you are losing BF, while maintaining lean muscle mass...hope this helps!!
