Default Hello Everyone I'm New

I've been perusing some of the forums and found a lot of interesting recipes last night here, decided to register.

I'm in my 50s and working at losing a few pounds. I'm not terribly overweight but a very busy life with lots of work related travel makes it hard to be as focused as I'd like to be. I bought the Sonoma Diet book a week or so ago and since I love to cook anyway, it just appeals to me. I work out of town during the week and have a condo - so I work long hours, but cook for just me and can really fix great stuff if I get organized.

So I'm not exactly on Wave 1, but I am working at a lot of the principles - have made up some wonderful dishes with a bit of this and that and just feel so wonderful.

Was hoping to share experiences and recipes with others - I don't really have a weight loss goal other than fitting better into my summer slacks. Also trying to keep at the consistent exercise in one form or another.

Tonight I'm making halibut that I'm marinating in a combo of yogurt cheese, chopped cucumber, scallions and fresh oregano, a little lime. I've got a mix of colored peppers and zucchini ready to fix on the side. Hoping it's good - last night I did the halibut over spinach and a sauce of tomatoes, herbs, and a little feta on top - fabulous!

Waving...!

There you are! Chickies, Cindy is a gardening friend of mine from another website.

How about posting the fish recipe in the Recipe Section. It sounds yummy and I do NOT like fish. I'm willing to learn though!

Ruth, I'm also teaching myself to like fish, and I've posted some tilapia recipes that are really yummy even to fish-haters like us in the recipe section. Let me know if you try any of them!
