Question Books on Women Bodybuilding???

Also anybody have any suggestions on books I could purchase regarding women bodybuilding? Emphasis on using correct form and various exercises.

Gosh, we had a thread on this a couple of weeks ago. I like Weight Training for Dummies and Strength Training for Women by Lori Incledon, both available on Amazon. I also like Krista's site www.stumptious.com All of these will give you descriptions/pictures of exercises and sample routines.

I've read several books on body building and I much prefer what I find on line like Krista Smash's site and Dave Draper and About.com... I also buy Oxygen and Muscle and Fitness magazine when I can find them...

Sculpting Her Body Perfect by Brad Schoenfeld - I think I got the author's name right. Very good on form tips and great routines.

Boy I just love Strength Training Anatomy 2nd Edition by Frederic Delavier. I picked it up at Costco for $11.99. It has more than 400 illustrations of muscles and how muscles interact with surrounding joints and skeletal structures. "Like having an X-ray for each exercise, the information gives you a multifaceted view of strength training not seen in any other resource."

It also contains detailed anatomical analysis of training injuries and preventive measures to help you exercise safely with over 115 exercises.

I personally get so much more out of an exercise if I can visualize exactly what muscle I'm targeting and this book shows me exactly where I should be feeling it. I bought it for myself and then went back the next day and bought another copy for a girlfriend.

There's a whole series called the Body Sculpting Bible. They have them for both men and women, and different editions. There's the main women's one that shows exercises and plans for the whole body. It also includes meal plans, visualization exercises, etc. There is also a Buns and Legs edition which focuses on buns, legs, and abs. I have both of those. There's also a swimsuit one and a one or two upper body ones I think.

Oxygen has a HUGE book I always see at Barnes and Nobles. The pictures are fairly dated but its very comprehensive. I'm not sure what it's called but it's from Oxygen, it's huge, and pink

Magazines are a great source too. Most have several workout routines with how to pictures. I like Fitness Rx for Women, Oxygen, and Muscle & Fitness Hers.

Default Good lifting

I agree - www.stumptuous.com is awesome, as is "Sculpting Her Body Perfect" by Brad Schoenfield.

One of the first books I read was by Rachael McLish, too, but I don't know if it's in print any more.

Default Not crazy about the title....

...but I'm learning
"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Weight Training" (3rd edition). The photos and text are extremely user friendly.

Chiarij, the sites already mentioned are very, very informative. One of my fav online sites is:www.fitsite.com. Good data on muscle groups, "mini" video demos, etc.

Whenever I visit one of these websites, I almost want to run back to the gym
