Default Can anyone recommend a good scale to buy...

Can anyone recommend a good scale to buy that doesn't cost a fortune but really works?? My stupid scales are driving me crazy. I know they are not accurate, but now they've gotten to the point of having a mind of their own. Just for fun, I got on the scale this a.m. before my shower, and it showed 237. Now, I was only 232 1/2 at the calibrated scales at Publix the other day, so I figured, ok, maybe it's water weight, as I just started (3 days ago) drinking about 120 ounces of water per day. So, I got on it again. Then it showed 241. I got off. Then got on it again. Without moving it, ok? Same exact place on the floor. It showed 245!!!! What??? This isn't the first time it's done this, but it's certainly the worst. How can I gain 7 lbs in 5 minutes??? LOL

So, I've decided that darn scale has got to go. I went to Curves today to weigh to get a base line, as it isn't my turn to weigh and measure until Feb. 6. It showed 236 which is still more than I wanted to hear. But, that was fully dressed too, whereas at home, I weigh naked. Anyway, the counselor at Curves said it is probably water weight cause of all the water I have been drinking. My last weigh/measure at Curves was in October and it was 234. That was right before I quit going for awhile, due to health problems. So, overall, that's only a 2 lb gain since October until now. I just started back at Curves last week. I went one day last week, and Mon. and Wed. this week already. So, I guess I did good for not gaining any weight if the 2 lbs. is water weight. Plus, when I went to the doctor on December 1, I don't remember what I weighed, but it was 5 lbs. MORE than what I weighed only 6 weeks later when I went in January. So, I thought I was doing pretty good, cause I wasn't exercising during that period of time. Now, I started back at Tae Kwon Do, Curves, walking and I want to start doing some of my Firm dvd's again at home. I just got the Transfirmer.

Anyway, I really got off track, didn't I? Sorry. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a scale. Maybe from Target or Walmart? My budget would probably be up to maybe the $50 range or less preferably.

Thanks.

Hi Kathy

I got a Taylor digital scale at Walmart for $20. It has a lifetime Lithium battery.

I just bought a Taylor scale from Walmart as well. It was $29 CDN and has a lifetime Lithium battery as well. It's probably the same one Anita mentioned. I really like it. I weighs in .5lb increments.
