Default Incline vs. Decline Press

I was just wondering what you all thought delivers better results for women: The incline press (for a fuller top) or the decline press (to "lift")?

You mean more pectoral involvement for the decline, vs. more delts with the incline press? Probably, but you might also consider heavy dumbell presses done with a full ROM for your pecs.

Currently I am only hitting my pecs with Incline presses done with a full pause at the bottom for 5x5, but my chest is already "full enough" as far as I am concerned. Incline is a nice compromise between the bench and overhead press if you are only going to train one big pressing exercise.

My wife does dumbell OHP and triceps pushdowns, and skips the benchpress completely.

I do the overhead press (although I normally do that on shoulders day so I'm a little confused), chest dips (on dip/pullup assist machine), incline db press, and incline flys. I was just wondering whether people thought incline or decline created the better results as it's a bit much to do both.

I don't like declines because I think they make my lower chest look thicker- not where I want to look thick. I do flat and/or incline db presses, flat benches (for stupidity and shoulder destruction), loads of different kinds of pushups, incline flys, flat flys, pec dec flys, cable flys...but no decline work.

Thanks Mel, I would have thought it would have been uplifting but I never considered the thickness factor!
