Cool Promise not to laugh?

I've traded in Food Network for Fit TV. And as such, I've started recording the All Star Workouts and do them in the morning the next day.

A week ago, I tried belly dancing (a 190 lb woman belly dancing was quite the sight! )

Yesterday, I did a hip hop workout. It kicked my tail, too! I'm thinking I can't dance all too well

Today, I did an Indian dancing workout (Indian as in India, not Native American) It was a lot of fun and about 98% of the moves I could do correctly!

They are about an hour long, so once I fast forward through the commercials, I think I have a solid 40 minute workout. It goes by really fast though -- just trying to execute these moves correctly. I worked up a good sweat, I think...and I feel pretty good (although very sore...I think I'm the most OUT OF shape I've EVER been and that makes me very sad) BUT, I'm working to change that.

Why would I laugh? That sounds like so much fun, and if I had cable, I would definitely want to do those workouts too!

That is a great idea. I love dance type workouts - not that I can get through much of them at this point! I just do what I can and try to improve every time. I have just started using Netflix to test out different workouts. The more variety the better!

I think thats awesome, what I would give for that channel. I just signed up for an 8 week belly dancing class, which should be quite the sight as I am not coordinated! :-)

LOL, I'm not either. Actually, the belly dancing was a great ab workout (although, at this point, ANY workout is a great workout).

True Story: DH caught me watching a new video I had bought and teased me about it constantly for a whole week. LOL

I'm not going to laugh, but I am going to be envious... I want that channel so bad. I look forward to the day each month or so when they have they show the shows from fittv on the local cable's preview channel.

I saw the belly dance videos on their website and they look like so much fun! And the Bhangra dance, too...

I have a question... does each show do the same workout each day? Or are they different everyday?

FrugalChick, I'm with you when you dance! Not really, but I discovered those workouts also, and I Tivo them to do the next day. I really enjoyed the Bhangra dance. The boot camp one, kicked my booty! I, also, am in rough shape but I'm working on that.

Ok this is funny because I did the hip hop dance show too! I was laughing at myself left and right! I cannot dance at all! I thought I was alright.. and then I was doing it and laughing so hard. I think my abs got quite a work out from laughing at myself!!

I've watched a couple other all star workouts but didn't like them much.

Have you tried the show with Gilad? That man kicks major butt! He used to come on at 5pm but they moved it to 6am :/ Made me mad!! I'm always looking at Fit tv to see what they have on and if I want to do it instead of Tae Bo You gotta switch it up a bit!

Nope, haven't trusted Giliad with my body yet ("Thank you for trusting me with your body!)

I did a yoga pilates sculpt just now, and I think it pretty much kicked my tail! LOL. Think I'd sooner have Harvey from Celebrity Fit Club yelling at me -- I think my body was worked just as hard as he could work it!

In all honesty though, I really enjoyed the slow, deliberate moves and the control it took to execute them. And the stretches?! Oh my gosh -- I think I would put up with the workout just to get the awesome stretches.

I feel pretty good!
