Default Week of Jan 15---Welcome Newbies Here!!!

I thought I would add a welcome so people could find our thread to chat!! We always welcome new folks to chat!!!Any advice or new tips is always a welcome!!
Well..I guess excercise, dieting and drinking water does help!! Imagine that???haha
I lost 4 lbs and AF has left the building thank goodness!!!!

I am doing WW at home again and this time following it closely. Excercise has been easy since we are having more than 75 patients a day for surgery and working 10-12 hrs/day and running like crazies..

Off for more coffee and my breakfast..(that is the hardest cuz I am not used to breakfast)
Have a nice day all!!!

Hi All,

Been a busy weekend here. Friday night we had cupcakes for Robby. He was not impressed...looked at them like they were poison. Why can't I see them that way?! Yesterday we went to the IL's to celebrate with them. Peter was miserable. He was up most of the night Friday tossing and turning and coughing his poor head off. He coughed so much at the IL's that he puked all over Robby's new rocking horse. Thankfully we got it cleaned off quickly. He fell asleep before we sang and had cake for Robby. Again...Robby wouldn't touch the cake! Today we're probably just going to hang out. Peter slept a little better, but he spiked a high fever last night. NOt sure what it was, because he was in no mood to have his temp taken, but I'm guessing 102. something, or more. Ibubrofen brought it down. I'm going to call the Dr. this AM and see if they'll meet us at the office today. They have their physicals Tuesday, but this can't wait. Besides, they're not going to do his physical if he's sick anyway.

Was not a very good food week. Not horrible, but I did not log everything, which is a step in the wrong direction to begin with. Have some meals planned for this week though.

Good Morning everyone--

I thought I was having a gret week but then got on the scale to see that I weighed the same!!!

After 2 weeks of dieting and exercising I lost nothing- nodda -zilch-zip...

It just seems all so useless- just give me a lb lose every week lol and I'd stay on track...

I have been this weight for 2 yrs- I can't seem to lose these last 10/15 after my big weightloss 3 yrs ago. Maybe I am at where I will always be.. Because it seems like I am battling up hill and not getting anywhere.

I can't give up anymore food- I can't drink anymore water...

Well I hope you all have a great week!!

Hi Anita! Do you keep a food log? Maybe take a look at what you're eating and see if there's any changes you can make? If you want to post it here, maybe one of us can provide some outside insight? Don't get yourself too down! Do your clothes feel any different? Maybe you lost some inches, but not pounds?

Good Morning Everyone!

Not much going on here this weekend. The cold that Alex gave us last week is just hanging on and on and on. Mornings are the worst. It takes me forever to feel like my head isn't going to fall off. I'm so happy to be pregnant, but I'm so sad not to be able to take some good meds! Sudafed isn't doing jack.

RR: Yeah on the loss! Totally awesome. Jeeze, hope things slow down for you at work soon. That sounds insanely busy. Did you ever get the last box?

Lauren: I can't believe Robby is a year old already! This year has really flown by. Alex wasn't crazy about his first cake either. He let me feed him a couple bites, but he wouldn't touch it. Hey, what am I saying, You were here! LOL.

Anita: Sometimes your diet needs a shake-up. Or your workout needs a change. Lauren's idea about journaling your food is a good one. Don't give up, you can do it!

Not being perfect on eating, but not totally off the track.

Default Stay Focused

This is my goal. To stay focused. In the past my diet has failed for many reasons but one is that I do good for a few days and then say "Well I don't look THAT bad." and then eat cookies or something else evil. So this time I want to keep up the healthy style. So this site is helping, I want to have a good report for you guys. Today I've already walked my 1.5 mile and that is my goal for this week. 1 mile or more every day plus eating right. Surely that will help.

Hello all!

My goal for this coming week is to be good while back in classes. Thats right classes start on Tuesday. I could use more time, unfortunatly I don't have it. Actually Tuesdays are my worst days, I am at school the longest (for the first half of the semester). I am going to be in class from 9:45 am - 4:30 pm, with only 15 min. in between each class. (1:45 - 2:00) Oh well If I take breakfast bars for when I wake up and lunch, I should be good. Now I just can't go near the vending machines.
Wow, that was long!

I hope everyone does well this week, seeing as how I am in school again, I don't know how much I will write but I will check in everyday.

Lisa

Ricky turned one in October and he kind of looked at his cake like it was an alien too but when dh stuck his finger in it and he tasted it he went to town!! LOL He ended up sticking his face in it and picking it up in big hunks and stuffing it into his mouth. It was really funny. I have pics of it but they come out too big on here and I don't know how to resize them. They are funny though.

Good for you RR. I should get into WW but I just don't want to have to sit through a meeting alone. They have a deal right now too to waive the sign up fee and you just have to pay for the weekly fee.

Good luck to you Lisa...you had your time off not it's back to the grind stone for you. lol

Have a great week everyone!

RR: Oh no, it's not me! It was two chapters of MOMS Clubs. I did donate the shipping and one of the cans of formula for this box, but that's it. I was just lazy about getting the last box out.

Hi All,

I'm home today with a very sick Peter. We went to the Dr. yesterday and she prescribed Accu-Neb 4x/day & Pulmacort 2x/day nebulizer treatments. She wanted me to take him to the ER to check his O2 and get a neb tx and chest xray. Since it was an emergency visit, there were no nurses, and she didn't know how to work the O2 thing (that they put on the finger) or the nebulizer...HUH?? So I told her we have a nebulizer, and she was like, oh, he has asthma?! It was like dejavu from last week with RObby. I said, no, he doesn't. It was prescribed when he was baby and was sick one time and was wheezing. I left aggravated, but decided that if he's not signifigantly better by noon today, I will take him back to the Dr., and to the ER, if necessary, for a chest xray. We gave him a couple treatments each yesterday and he did sleep much better. Isn't coughing as much...barely actually. Still very snotty, but that's because he refuses to blow his nose or let me suck it out. What is it with kids not wanting to blow?! Anyway, this is all more than any of you really needed to know!!

RR, is RAD the new buzz term for asthma? I did a little research last night and found an article from the AAP that says basically that's what they say he has when they can't definitively say it's asthma. Which is what I figured...they both have "asthmatic" type symptoms. Kind of like, my mom does not have asthma, but she gets "asthmatic bronchitis" every winter...right??

OK, enough of that! I went to the farmer's market around the corner yesterday. Got lots of fruit and veggies and am bound and determined to stick with all...OK...mostly healthy stuff this week. I bought carrots and will cut up sticks to keep in the fridge. Same thing for celery...dh likes it more than me, but will make a good quick snack w/PB. I bought some big sweet potatoes and regular potatoes to nuke for lunch with FF chili or veggies and LF cheese. I'm going to look through my cook books today for some tasty meals.

Have a great day all!

Hello everyone, I am new here. I just started my new diet Sunday, Jan. 15. I am taking on the 3 hour diet my own way. Before starting the diet I only ate 2 meals a day and only drank coffee and tea all day and night. I did this for about 2 years so this is a welcoming change for my body. I currently weigh 169 lbs. and cannot fit into any of my clothes and REFUSE to buy new ones. I do not have a scale but will judge my weight loss by clothes in my closet. I have three kids, 2 sons who are 10 and 3, one girl who is 7. My older ones keep asking me if I am having another baby......kids are so brutally honest. My husband and I are doing this together, he works and I stay at home so it will be nice to have some communication with others during the day. I am starting out excercising for about 25 minutes per day, drinking only 2 cups of coffee a day and water the rest of the time except tea with my lunch and dinner. So far, (mind you this is only my second day) I have been doing really well. I look forward to talking with everyone and BEST OF LUCK to us all on our losing weight journey.
