Cool Butt Kicker Needed!

Hey there - I'm looking for a buddy butt kicker to keep me on tract. I'm 38 years old, have two amazing boys, and my goal is to loose 35 pounds. May not seem like much to some but seems like a lot to me. I have started and stopped more diets than I can remember. I would like to find a friend who can keep me focused and I can help too. If anyone is interested please reply or email me.

You lean on me, I'll lean on you and hopefully we won't fall down.

I love to tell people what to do! Just kidding Sue. What kind of eating or activity plan had you chosen. Maybe we can point you to some helpful threads.

Thanks girls! I have just started trying this week. Here's what I have been doing: cutting out all junk food, cutting out all sugar (candy, cookies, donuts) increasing my water intake, and walking a mile a day. Here is what I've been eating, Cheerios, they have 3% fat, skim milk. dry cereal that is under 3% fat, apples, celery, chicken (boneless, skinless, crock pot cooked), vegetable soup, low fat triscuits, more chicken, whole wheat bread, cheese (I know that's bad but I love it and I only ate a little). Any advise would be appreciated.

I'm sure there's threads for walkers under "Exercise". You can always join an "Age" group. And as for eating ... how about "Doin' it the Oldfashioned Way"?

Did you find anything interesting in your surfing?

YES! Let's kick it together.
Today I walked and walked and walked. This morning I walked 1.5 miles outside and this afternoon I walked 1 mile inside while my son was having baseball practice. YEA. I broke down and got on the scale this morning - I was going to wait until monday but after my walk this morning I decided to do it. --- Are you ready ? I lost 1.5 pounds this week! Little by little - bit by bit - right?

Star -

you are not going to believe it but my DH ordered Dominos pizza last night. I too ate 3 pieces - only I ate them all at once when it was hot. I felt guilty guilty guilty but hey this morning I got on the scale and have lost 1.5 pounds this week. Don't feel so glum. Just chalk it up to being human and move on. That's right MOVE. I got up this morning and walked 1.5 miles because of my pizza guilt. This is not going to be easy for any of us. If it was easy we'd all look like Holly Berry. You have lost 12 pounds and that's something worth cheering about. Don't loose your focus. You can make your goal. Keep working and don't look back!

One day of bad eating can ruin everything. Just for a moment, look at the big picture. You must have been good more than you were bad

If you use fitday ... look for an average for this week or the last two weeks. Chances are your average calories didn't change tooooo much because of one pizza.

Chin up!
