Talking What was your workout today?

What did you do to exercise today? I still have yet to go to a yoga class and walk a mile on the treadmill (my goal is 5 a day...I have 1 left) so I'll write back when I'm all done!

Here are some exercise quotes I found online:
-Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness. ~Edward Stanley

-Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. ~Plato

-I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing. ~Marsha Doble

-People say that losing weight is no walk in the park. When I hear that I think, yeah, that's the problem. ~Chris Adams

-The greatest wealth is health. ~Virgil

Pila,
What a great goal to be working toward. I think a HALF MARATHON is a spectacular and achievable goal. I admire you and your dedication.

I would only be able to go for a HUNDREDTH BABY STEP MARATHON due to age and decrepitude, but I do admire those who still can go for the brass rings.
Since today is Tuesday, I did 36 minutes of toning and 12 minutes of stretching--and have a walk pending. Thank you for the quotes, I especially like the ones by Virgil and Plato. It feels so meaningful to me that this has been a concern for so many centuries. Think of all the people across the ages who have been where we are and very likely did not have all we have available to help them. ...of course they did so much more physical work that they likely stayed in better condition than those of us who have cars and buses and washing machines and vaccumes and all the other 'labor-saving' devices we all have. What an exchange it has been, more time to spend on intellectual pathways.....Are we ahead or behind?

When I get home from work I will do 15 minutes on my elliptical, then 20 minutes on my exercise bike, and then I will do my 2 mile WATP dvd.

"I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing. ~Marsha Doble" [that is too funny!]

I haven't been keeping up with my cardio this month...
But recently i take about:
30-60 minutes on stretching/yoga
30-60 minutes strength training
30 minutes hiking/walking the trails with my dog.

When i hit up the gym i do 4 miles at a time.

I'll probably do a 4-mile Walk Away The Pounds DVD this evening. I don't really feel like getting out to exercise. I'm kind of in a lazy mood!

I just got back from yoga...we had a christmas yoga class, the teacher gave us glow stick bracelets and played soft slow christmas music. It was super cute.
I managed to get 5 miles in today - jogged 1.5 of it- only about 12.5 miles more until my 1/2 marathon goal haha ...I don't know how I ran 4 miles without stopping before the 15 lb weight gain that snuck quickly onto my body.
And 1 hr of yoga. Tomorrow I am meeting 2 girls at the 10am yoga class...hope I am not too sore! Goodluckk to everyone!

I took a walk in the park for a while, then played frisbee (with lots of running so I could get my heartrate up).

So far my 20-minute pilates video.
I plan to get about 30 minutes of DDR in for cardio after work.
