Default New Member says Hi

Hi All, I'm a new member and just wanted to say hello. I really have a big job ahead. I'm Obese at 250 lbs and just started exercising this month.
October 4th I started with walking, measuring in feet. I know that's a little different, but what I did was measure out an 1,100 foot track in the yard, with each lap around the yard it gives me 1,100 feet.
Here's my log so far...Wish me Luck. Pica

4 1100x3 = 3300 feet
5 1100x3 = 3300 feet
6 1100x3 = 3300 feet
7,8,9 rain
10 1100x3 + 600 = 3900 feet
11 400x9 = 3600
12 400 x10 = 4000 fell and rain
13 400x7 = 2800....knee and side hurt from fall
14 400x3 = 1200
15 no
16 400x13+100 = 5300 yipee first mile need to start timing
17 1100x5 = 5500 2nd mile....time 32 minutes...735a/807a
18 none
19 1100x5 = 5500 31 minutes time 351pm/422p
20 none
21 1100x7 = 7700 almost 1 1/2 miles time 39 mins 341p 420p

Welcome and congrats on your progress. It sounds like you are progressing very well. It's the little steps that we take that matters. If you need a buddy and ever want to chat, just pm me. Good luck on your journey.

Dear Pica,
I am new here, too. I wish to congratulate you. Soon to be losing a few pounds myself.

You said you had fallen was that because of the rain or slippery grass? I have some old tapes (cassette ones from Weight Watchers and also a ped 0 meter. Plan to use them at an enclosed lap circle as soon as my physical therapy in an aquatic tank is over. I have trouble with my sciatic nerve and numbness in right leg. The therapist says it will take time, but sees that I should be able to handle it. Great for you maybe we can buddy up...take care...Cheryl in Virginia
