  • We forgot to have one last week. I know there are a lot of us still having a hard time on the weekends. So how about joining me in a little weekend support.

My plan for the weekend as always is to have one treat meal drink lots of water and stay within my 1800 calories. I will be getting some exercise by working in the yard tomorrow.
  • Count me in, Howie. My plan is to stay at my target points (22) today and use no more than 15 of my 35 flex points over the weekend (I haven't used any so far this week). I will drink at least 2 litres of caffeine-free water based beverages daily and will walk/hike at least 2km on each of Saturday and Sunday!

    Let's do it, folks!
  • Okay, it's my first week back on WW in several months (and I'm NOT changing that siggy!) so I thought I'd join in the weekend challenge. It's definitely going to be a challenge since it's my 24th anniversary, and we're spending a couple of days at the coast where we'll be eating every meal out. My plan is to stay OP by eating shrimp salads instead of my usual bowl of clam chowder with garlic bread, to walk on the beach (and to get lots of indoor exercise, too ), and to have only one glass of white wine during the weekend.
  • Alright kids! How about me exercising 3 days in a row??? How about it??? I'm going to try for it.

    Happy Anniversary Sheila & SheilaDH!!!
  • Ohhhh, Happy, Happy Anniversary (and thanks for pointing out to the youngin's that we old folks get lots of exercise too ). Have a great time with hubby and the shrimpfest!
  • When I wrote that, in my mind I could hear my kids going, "Ewww, Mom!"
  • Happy anniversary, Sheila! Hope you have a fantastic time with hubster. Maybe you can do some of what I jokingly call "husband squats" this weekend. I'll leave it to you to figure out what those are (did I just say that?!?)

I am *so* in on this one. I suspect Jill would be hunting me down if I didn't post.

My plan is to keep up my exercise everyday with one of my workouts being "leg day" (hmmm. see above!). I've been avoiding leg weights workouts because I'm always sooo sore afterward, but I know how important they are! I also plan to get in plenty of walking.

HOWEVER, exercise isn't usually the problem, food is. So I am going to stay under 1500 cals today and between 1600-1800 calories on Saturday and Sunday. Really, I would be OK just maintaining over the weekend, as long as I DON'T GAIN BACK WHAT I LOST THIS WEEK.

I have to shop this weekend for a new suit for a business trip in a couple of weeks. I have a sneaking suspicion seeing myself in a state of half-dress in front of some full-length mirrors will help keep me honest .

Hang in there, all! We can do this.
  • Ok I'm going blind here. LOL Happy Anniversary Sheila.
  • Yes, trust that New York hussy to turn it into a porn thread ("husband squats" indeed ). May I remind you Apryl will be home from school any minute?
  • Um, Jilly? Apryl is almost a Senior in high school, from Northern Wisconsin (where, by the way, there is NOTHING to do), I'm quite sure she could probably teach us all a few things!!!

Anyway, I'll keep doing what I'm doing for the challange, as always. Today being my mid-week scale check, I'm down an unofficial 2 pounds. I am taking my day off from exercise tomorrow, but back to the grind on sunday!
  • Whatever, Sara Next thing you'll be telling me my daughter, who is closing in on 30 and has been married for 3 years, isn't pure!
  • I will assume she is not! Hopefully anyway!!! And, hey! I'm closing in on 30... only 2 1/4 years to go! Yikes...
  • Well, seeing as I'm old enough to be your mother then, you should be respecting your elders, and humouring the old broad!
  • Unless you're closing in on 90 you are far from old! You are also quite attractive... for an old broad!!! wink wink
  • Flattery will get you everywhere! Even a back-handed compliment Okay, enough - if I want my weekend to start at 5 I'd better get some work done!
