Default Body For Life food question - protein

I understand that a portion of protein should be the size of your palm. Sorry if I sound silly, but is that your palm including the fingers and thumb or not? Thanks in advance.

I didn't use my fingers & thumb, just the flat, fleshy part of my hand. If you're not adverse to weighing your food, you can also figure out your portions sizes that way. Good luck.

I've often read that a 4 oz portion is usually the size of a deck of cards which is roughly the size of my palm, my palrm may be slightly bigger actually...But I like to weigh my protein when I am at home and eyeball it in restaurants...
