Default Milk ??

I see 2-3 cups skim milk on the new "foods to enjoy" list. Just want to confirm that's right before I race off to Starbucks for my beloved latte. I thought the book did not allow for milk in phase 1 so I just want to make sure.

Thanks!

Recent medical studies have shown that consuming milk (skim and low fat) as well as fat free yogurt can help in losing weight. So Dr. A changed South Beach to allow the milk. Just make sure you are using 1% or less fat.

Get'n Serious, I love my lattes too! Just be aware of your caffeine intake--you want to stick with 2 servings (or less) per day. So you might want to make that a "half-caf" latte!

I usually have one grande latte a day and that's it for caffeine. I would guess one shot = one serving. After that I usually switch to water and herbal tea, and an occasional diet gingerale.
