Default Cool

Great I got replies, thought i'd be all on my ownsome Me I'm just a geordie lass, married with 2 DS's. I'm in my 30's and starting to feel old before my time, sometimes I think i'm turning into my mam my life revolve s around my family they always come first and thats how it should be but I just feel a little lost, where has the old me gone! My eldest is getting ready to fly the nest but it doesnt seem like 5 mins since i was in the same boat. I'm happy with my familylife. As for work I'm senior staff in a fast food place, I love it there, the young uns keep me young at heart All in my little piece of the world is more or less ok, not perfect but good enough for me. The one thing I really need to do is looooose weight. My weight isn't healthy, It effects my image as i can't wear what I'd like not to mention the effect it has on my PMS Anyway Ive waffled on enough i've got a dvd to watch catch y'later, gonna weigh in tomorrow
Take care ev1

of course you got replies lol, so your weighing in today is this your first week of seriously attempting it or have you been at it a while?are you following any kind of plan or going to classes? how much are you hoping to lose all in, im hoping to get to 8 stone eventually, although for my height some weight thinggys make me still overweight!! so i still have another 4 stone to lose, i was 16 stone at my heaviest earlier this year which is very daunting ............if i reach target ill have lost half my bodyweight yet still be overweight!!!!!!!!
ach never mind a pound at a time although i gave up my pound loss this week to a 5 year olds b/day party(was worth it)
post your weigh in result in the october weigh in thread, thats where most of us kinda put in our results

Default lo

Hiya, back again, did weigh in this morn, (ta for tip on where to post toots). Didn't scream when I was on the scales coz now i know I'm doing something about it instead of just groaning I'm just starting out and doing it on my own, not following a dietplan but the one the paper this morn looked good to me, diets for starsigns, basically said Saggitarians youve got no will power(true) so just cut back, sounds good to me. cuts back on cals but so much for my nutrition . Still it'll proberbly work for me, won't have to think to much, take the lazy girls option and still get to munch free food at work. Well done on making that little uns day, You sound like you've got the knack to weight loss, you're doin really well

hmmmmmm the knack............i know what to do , the what to eat the what not to eat the when to eat its the putting it into practise thats the problem for me, ill get there in the end, i know i will this time.........just havent asctually decided when or where the end is yet hahahaha a lb at a time will do me. going to be hard this week again kids are off school here for a week and im on holiday from work , so as well as all the kids tempting goodies i wont be running around like a blue ***** fly either, but i am adamant to start on exercise this week, even ordered pedometers from ebay so i can count my steps(got2 so dh can join in)i hate exercise with a vengeance, if i could find some super sense of motivation then maybe hmm!
anyways i seen youve found the weigh in page, im going to make weekly summarys of all the results next monday night so any weightloss posted today until next monday night shall be included in it, i weigh in on a monday.... so i know i have to " behave" over the weekend or it will show on the scales, the mind games i play with mysef lol
ok im away back to ebay see if i can find any other instruments of torture

Hi geordie
Have been with this lot for a month now, and am very happy - I like the way you get emailed for every reply in the string . Other message boards are much harder to plough through all the replies . It makes me feel that I'm not on my own. I'm with Weight Watchers which is good, though I often find myself just counting points without thinking too much about the healthy aspect .

It was definately having children that started me off on the road downwards, that and being able to afford a car. Living out in the country, I tend to get into the car to get anywhere, and I'm also often too busy to walk that bit further to work, etc. I do Tai Chi and also teach it, which is v. healthy, but doesn't burn the fat off! I have noticed less tummy in the way on the pre TC stretches now. What alerted me to needing to lose weight (again) was that last year's summer trousers didn't fit, must try them again, as it was mostly TUMMY in the way .
Good luck! We're all here for you

Is that OK, or have I gone too far the other way?

I know what you mean, though worst was grappling, my teacher now is very keen on that. I didn't appreciate being pinned to the floor with my nose crammed into a black (or anyother colour) belt's armpit . Ugh!! I gave up mostly because the knees couldn't stand the strain of the low stances .
Just remember, when you have a bad day you can start all over again whenever you want and let go of whatever came before. it's NEVER too late
Hope tomorrow is better for you
