Smile Next Year's Plan?

I keep reading on the non UK WW boards about the 'Core' programme....
Does anyone know whether they're about to bring that in over here? After the initial shock of hearing about it, I'm now quite exited. I joined on 123 success and have never been quite happy with Pure Points and even less with Time to Eat. Perhaps it might come in in the new year????? Anyone got inside information?????

Hi taichilady I'm in Cumbria too the other end though I read they weren't bringing it in yet (too similar to slimming world I suspect). They should just make fruit free I really can't be bothered counting it.

Hi Veggie
I presume you're vegetarian? I'm afraid I have lapsed and succumb to the odd bit of chicken or tuna as they're both low in points and I just got bored with it after 20 odd years. I was dismayed to find how high in fat nuts are. Hubbie wouldn't dream of touching even meat substitutes (he's not fond of eggs either), my older boy will eat just about anything, and younger son is v. picky, (to say nothing of both boys going through growth spurts and being unfillable) so you can imagine what mealtimes are like ! I'm not fond of fruit myself and have to force myself.... I love stewed fruit, but it gives me violent indigestion. I hate counting drinks.
Still..... have lost a stone in two months, halfway to my first goal . I can't imagine getting anywhere near the BMI recommended. I heard recently that it was all set in favour of the slimming 'industry'.
I'd be pleased to hear from you or anyone else out there - although I'm spending far too long on these boards now I've discovered 3FC .

Hi taichilady Congrats on the weightloss to date I don't think the Core Plan is out in the UK yet but I can give you a link to get the info if you want it

Veggie..fruit is FREE on the Core plan maybe you should try that instead of counting pts you get 35pts per week for 'extras' too do you want the link too?

Hey y'all!!

My mum isn't doing Core, she's in sunny Whitby btw, I thought she was, but I guess I must've just read about it here!

Also taichilady, when I started off, I think my Bmi was 35 ish! I couldn't imagine getting anywhere near, but I recently calculated it and I'm 25.5!! It's quite strange that I can be a size 16 and be "normal" weight!! I guess the diet industry and the clothes industry are both onto the same scam!!

Thumbs up

"I can give you a link to get the info if you want it"
Hi Cathy
Yes please, I'd be v interested. I have tried to get to WW.com, but it keeps redirecting me to .co.uk .
One advantage to having a cold - no appetite, hooray! That's after a particularly hungry week. I usually save a couple of points a day and save them for the weekend, but not his week! The Core prog sounds as if it would suit me well.

2frustrated -
My 'lucky' number would appear to be 14. Now if only that was dress size and not weight ! BMI also in the 30s at the mo. Have just realised that I'll miss weigh in this week due to pressure of work

I reckon they will bring out out in the UK in the New Year which always seems to be the time for the big slimming club relaunches. Interesting, when I emailed UK WW to ask them about this, they said that they had no plans to offer it over here, but I don't believe them. Have actually got all the info thanks to most helpful people on the net. It is rather like Slimming World but of course you wouldn't get instant point values for ready made foods in the UK, although I suppose you could work them out with one of those point calculator thingies - do they still do those at WW?

Am still deciding what to do!

Louise

My mum has a set of scales that weigh in points!!

Programme in the food and whak it on, then it tells you how piggly you're being!

Ain't technology great....?
