Hey everyone! I found this site while searching South Beach recipes and decided to give it a shot. I frequent forums on other sites, but never thought about a weight loss forum. However, I love the idea and am about to start the South Beach Diet in the next week. (Just gotta get the old food out of the house, and the new food in.) Does anyone know if I leave the OLD food in the house (rice, pasta, bread, sugars, blahblahb) if I'll be able to stick to my diet? Especially because the boyfriend's Italian and swears he's got pasta running through his veins.
I'm 21, live in Dallas, TX and definitely need to lose some weight. I carry what I've got okay, but I hate the way I look naked. I hate the way I feel. It's starting to emotionally effect my relationship with my boyfriend. We love each other very much and talk about getting engaged one day and having babies and a house and all those great things, but I can barely love myself right now because I'm so unhappy.
So I'm gonna lose weight. And what better place to do it than with people who are doing it too? I need a buddy. I need someone I can email and chat with that can yell at me when I look at fatty foods; who can make me remember the payoff. And I'll do the same.
At the beginning of July, I weight 213ish, and would like to get down to 160lbs by my birthday next year. And ultimately, I'd like to get down to maybe 130-140lbs or so...(my mom is VERY small framed and my brother and dad are very thin and fit...what's wrong with meme!?!?!?!)
