Hi Ladies -
A quick Hello before I go crawl in bed. Hubby is out of town tonight so it's me and the dogs! I may let them sleep with me. They normally sleep in their own room.

Feeling horrible tonight...not sure if it's the new med, which is causing some tummy issues, or the dentist appt. today, or the bad news we got from the IVF lab....probably a combination of all! They tested one of DH's frozem spermie samples today and concluded that it was not good enough for our next IVF cycle, so poor DH is going to have to have surgery again! Grrrrr!!! And his company is going through an acquisition of some sort that is going to mean ridiculous hours between DE, NY and Boston for the next few months. It's going to be crazy! I am just hoping to catch a good break one of these days! Ok, Sorry, there is my lil pity party tonight!!!

I wanted to immediately turn to food for comfort tonight, but I tried to control myself knowing that it would not help me! I did have a hot dog and donut from the convienience store, but could have been much worse! It's over with, can't beat myself up anymore.

I hope you are all having a WONDERFUL night! I am so happy to always be able to hop in hear and find my friends for comfort, support, laughs, hugs, etc!

CD - WELCOME!!!!

4 Months til Christmas!!! OMG!!!!!!!! Time to shop, wrap, break out the cards! UGH!!!! I am going to get an early start this year!!!!!

Talk to you gals tomorrow! Hugs to all!!!

Oh my goodness... I don't know how many of you are watching the olympics tonight... but they just had the MOST MOVING story on. During WWII they canceled the olympics. In 1944 the Polish prisoners of war in the **** prison camps held their own. There were 6,000 prisoners and they made their own Olympic Flag and programs and Award Certificates. They interviewed 4 survivors from that camp. They said even the German guards saluted their homemade Olympic flag. Their olympics lasted 21 days. They said the Germans did not allow the javlin or pole vaulting but they did everything else. They even had photos of it. It was very moving for me. My ancestory is Polish... and German. My forefathers may have been there.

I LOVE watching the stories of the past olympics. Sometimes I get so simple minded of my protected little life here. There is soooooooo much MORE to the world than we ever see or know.

Well enough about that.
Hmmm... I don't really have anything else to say.
I am frustrated about my weight loss. I know I am retaining water because I had to take my rings off... but I AM NOT GIVING UP !!!
I am going to write down EVERYTHING I EAT and see if I am being dishonest with myself. I only have one week left before I am accountable for my 2lbs.
I can say this. I have been GOOD. Not perfect... but darn good.
Whether I lose it or not... I HAVE improved my food, my exercise, my water.
WAY TO GO 2CUTE !!!!!

This has to be quick. I start work in a couple of minutes.
This morning was my first weigh in since my restart. I made the 2 lbs. by the 31st challenge!!!!! Lost 4 lbs. Got below 300!

This weeks goal is to keep these 4 lbs gone and drink more water during the day.

Off to work,

HI all,

Well, didn't do so good with not drinking soda yesterday. I tried to drink a diet rite and that just made me sick. So I got of all things a pepsi, just for the caffeine. I can't stand pepsi, so I thought if I grabbed that instead of coke it would help me not want the soda. That made me sick then too. Not to mention it was a very stressful day at work. Now I am pms'ing and instead of losing two lbs I have gained 5, well this just bites. I have been trying to be positive all week, but not feeling good isn't helping that at all. Well off to work again.

Judy!

2Cute - You're right, its not just about the 2 pounds. Its more about doing the healthy things for your body. I may not make the 2 pounds either but I am doing more of the things I need to be doing. I didn't realize how far off track I had gotten. I thought I was still doing okay but I had slipped enough to make it difficult to get it all together at once.

Skit - Take a breath! It may be rough for a few days as you come off the caffeine. Don't get discouraged!

to everyone else! I'm off to work!

Make it a great day!

Wink Thankful Thursday

Just a few things that I'm thankful for on this beautiful, sunny morning...

The Peach. Is there a more delightful fruit? It tickles all my senses. Okay, except that it doesn't say much. The color alone, makes me smile. The blending of pink and red and orange to make that pretty peach color. The soft, fuzzy skin. The scent that wafts into my kitchen from the bowl of peaches sitting on my window sill...ooohh...and the taste! Oh my word, the taste of a perfectly ripe, juicy summer peach....HEAVEN!

HEY! I see you all shaking your heads, thinking, "Yup, she's really gone 'round the bend now...getting all moony about a peach!"

You don't even want to get me started about chocolate chips!

MMMM! Cookies!

So....what else am I thankful for?

An early walk on a soft summer morning. I came in from work and decided to take the doggy for a walk. She was so beside herself at her good fortune! WALKIES!! We walked for only 30 minutes, since my knee is pretty sore lately...but it was so nice out. Sunny, bright blue sky. Soft breeze. Warm. The birdies cheerfully chirping, the heat bugs buzzing away. Very few cars out yet, so we had the road to ourselves. Took a new route. Admired some nice houses and their flowers. Worked up a bit of a sweat. Felt very accomplished when we got home. Feeling the urge to make this a habit.

A few more things I'm thankful for...

My daughter is coming home tomorrow!
My son is doing well with football.
My hubby is off for the next 7 days.
One more night to work and I'm off for 3 days!

I'm going to Oxycise now. I LOVE doing this before I go to sleep. Makes for sound sleeping!!

Oh yeah...one more thing. How could I forget????

I AM SO THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU! Thanks for being here.

Default Hello

Hi everyone,

Back to work today. Frankenmuth was great. No I really did not overeat as much as I usually do. We walked a lot and enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Went to WW on Tuesday and I am officially and regretably back to 300 pounds! I have been screwing around with my weight for almost a year now and instead of losing or maintaining, I have gained back about 37 pounds from my lowest weight of 263.5. Yes, it sucks, but I am moving forward and hopefully going to start losing again.

Thin: Hope your knee is feeling better today!!!!!! I had a nice lunch talk with you yesterday....

Got to get back to work...

Susie

Default Thankful Thursday

Since I saw this forum, I've actually been looking forward to "Thankful Thursday". I love hearing what people are thankful for, and thinking of what I'm thankful for as well - reminding myself of what I forget.

I'm thankful for music that gets you moving! (by the way, anyone have some suggestions for "motivating" or "energizing" music?)
I'm thankful for forums and websites like this one that let you know that you're not alone.
I'm thankful for healthy food that tastes good!
That feeling that feels so good after working out (when you actaully do it) that makes you feel so good and proud.
I'm thankful for the fact that I can still find myself beautiful in so many aspects (I love my hair... my eyes, my smile.. hah )
I'm thankful that my mother is also getting into exercising again. I was afraid at first because I felt like I was abandoning her by not involving her in all my working out - weightloss (we live 30 mins apart) so I'm happy she's doing it too. While she weighs less than me - she has high cholestrol and stress I tried to get her to join up here but she's not much of a computer person. We'll see

I haven't done much today other than sleep.. really exhausted after tons of walking yesterday. Tonight I'm going to a "Roundup Rally" at my university in a huge Sun Dome (basically its a bunch of clubs and organizations trying to find new members) so that should be lots of walking. Had some yummy veggie burgers and probably will have them again for dinner

I'm in a great mood.. and am definitely looking forward to this weekend that I'm hoping to fill with cleaning and decorating my new apartment.

I'm trying to convince my friends to go bowling tomorrow night as well.. so thats a wee bit of exercise in itself :P

Hope everyone else has had a wonderful day!

Lucky go for the Level 1 tape. The Easy Does It tapes are really for invalids who can not stand up very long. The Level 2,3 & 4 tapes are okay too, but you really need to be good at doing the level 1 before you start them. The level one mainly targets one area at a time, like griping the floor with you feet and legs, well, the level 2 tape you do the grip the floor and bend at the waist and strecth your arm at the same time. I also have the buns & Legs Level 1 but have never been able to do it. I am thinking about trying the Abs and Upper Body, but haven't decided yet. I did buy a Commuter Routine on a CD from Ebay, so I can do that in the car.

I didn't do my O last night. I just felt too bad, but I'm not going to let one night throw me off the course, I will do it tonight!!!

I'm thankful today that my mom had her 1 year followup after her colon cancer, and the doctor said everything looked okay. He repeated again how lucky she was. With the tumor they removed, they did not give us much hope, but it's been a year and she's doing great.

CD ... Thankful Thursday is an important day for me too. I have soooo much to be thankful for. It helps gets a person out of the self pity mode. LOL
I am thankful for your post.
I am thankful for my friendships here.
I am thankful that I am making better choices in my life.
I am thankful for swimmming.
I am thankful for my family.
I am thankful for my health.
I am thankful for the olympics ... it has helped me stay on program and workout.

No replys tonight again. I am trying to get my kitchen table clean of that darn paper clutter I seem to not only collect ... but breed.

Default Tgif!!!!!

Morning Ladies,

Oh what a day yesterday was. I came home from work after about 3 hours. I had a fever that got up to 102.7. It seems that I had some sort of stomach virus. So I am guessing that maybe the diet rite isn't what made me sick. It was just the beginnings of the bug. wasn't feeling too hot this week either but I didn't put two and two together. This might explain why I started off the week in great spirits and was oh so cranky in just a couple of days. I am still not feeling the best today, but hey it's Friday!!! Woo Hoo! If I can make it through the day, I will be a happy camper. I can't be sick this weekend as I have a meeting tomorrow and Sunday we are going to the Renfair. This will be an all day excursion on Sunday and I hope that I will be able to handle it and that it will not be too hot.

BarbG, that is so funny about the guy changing in the pool area. maybe he thought it was a two way mirror or something.

BarbPa, I will be praying for you and your husband, I wish you much luck.

Cd, I hope you have fun decorating your new apartment. That is one of my favorite things to do. How long did it take you to get off the soda? I know that totally removing carbonation from my diet is probably one of the best things I can do for my digestive system.

Terri, if you only knew how crabby I can be without my coke, it's scary.

2cute, you go girl!

J-ann, right on! However, I know where your four lbs went, I got them over here.

Well, that is enough for now I have to try to get ready for work.
Everyone have a wonderful day.
