I like the Oscar Meyer FF Hot Dogs. Cook them on my Nathan's Stove Top grill, add about 1/3 cup homemade chili (97% lean beef, no beans), Low Fat Kraft American Cheddar and a sprinkle of onions.... sooo good, who would have ever thought Chili Dogs could be 4 points.
About Veggies... they are very expensive... and I shop for the week, so need to consume what I buy. I buy prewashed hearts of romaine, and chop one of those, cukes, peppers, radishes, celery, onion, all in a covered big bowl. (Tomatoes would make it soggy). It's so simple to go to the big bowl, take out what I want.. add tomato and dressing. This works best for me.... guess I'm lazy and dont want to chop and peal, and mince and dice for 2 of my 3 meals.
Zero cal veggies with a dab of Low Calorie (or FF Dressing if you like it), makes a great snack.
I buy the mini carrots in a bag, so don't need to do anything with them.
I de-string my celery and put it in a container with water... so it's ready to go. My sister loves to drink the celery water... and it is good.
I recently purchased my Nathan's Stove Top Grill on ebay. I love it. It makes fabulous grilled veggies, plus meats... and they recommend only the oil spray like Pam. The smooth side can be used for sandwiches, eggs, bacon, etc.
What I've read is aside from veggies and fruits being low cal, they have fiber which increases metabolism.
