Hi
LLS, and welcome to 3FC!
I hope you’ll enjoy it here – the 100+Club is known for being very welcoming to newcomers, so I’m sure you’ll love it there.
As for Frances Kuffel’s “Passing for thin” – some of us have talked about in the “Other Books” in the “Dr. Phil - 7 Keys to Weight Loss Freedom” forum.
I loved the book, and would really like to hear about your issues and concerns with it.
We don’t really have a place to discuss books, but I would think that opening a thread in the “Library” forum would be the right place for it. I’m definitely in!
I also agree that slowly and surely is the way to go. I’m doing this very slowly. I lost 35lbs 1 ½ ago, maintained the weight until April when I started up with a new period of losing weight. I’m going to stick to 6 months of losing weight on 1500 calories a day this time too, so by November I’ll go back to maintaining the new weight. And continue to maintain it for at least 9 months. This is the way I can figure out which weight I’ll be able to maintain permanently (I’m an old yo-yo dieter).
Recently I’ve started to lift weights, so I’m trying to eat more protein – but other than that I just try to eat healthy.
*Love* your name, btw. That’s exactly what I’m aiming for too (I’m almost 6’)!
