Hello there! I've just recently recommitted to WW again and there are a couple of things that I've noticed that have helped me lose what I have so far.
Since you are doing WW at home, one of the biggest complaints I've heard and agree with is accountability. Make sure you schedule your weigh-in day same day and time every week and keep track of that. Knowing you are going to have to weigh in helps the motivation! The other thing that I think is important is journaling. I had a bad habit of eating a bad meal and not journaling it or counting the points--almost like it just didn't happen if I didn't acknowledge it. Now I keep track of everything, then I go back and realize that I really blew it! If I didn't lose that week then I can look back and realize why! Then next time it really makes me think! Also, planning your meals makes a big difference too!
Good luck, you can do this if you truly set your mind to it and commit yourself.

Hi there,

I am into my 9th week at WW. I am only doing online and I love it. I am just not a meeting person. I feel like the key to my success is pre-planning my meals, journaling, and getting all my water in. I am an emotional eater and I need to keep a handle on my emotions by writing things down.

Remember that this is a journey...and that it may take some time.

Good luck!

Anne

Hello Newbie,
Your goal of an 80 pound weight loss is a worthy one!
I say celebrate all weight losses--no matter how small or how long it takes.
This will encourage you to keep your eyes on the bigger prize that is waiting.
You can do this--
Remember--never miss a rainbow or a sunset because you are looking down.

Default Good Day To All...

Good Morning to you all

Newbie, I agree with all of the above. I have been on & off WW so many times, but a couple of things are different for me this time: I log in everyday to report/be accountable for how things are going. I also plan everything: my meals for the week, my exercise. I actually write my exercise in my day planner so it becomes a scheduled time for me and is just as important (more) than the rest of my appointments/plans.

I have found great support here, I love this site. I have only been back to this site for two weeks. My first week I lost 1 pound, but did not follow any type of plan. This week has been great and look forward to losing more than last week. I planned everthing. I wrote up my shopping list according to my menu for the week.
There are threads, that actually do weekly weigh ins, for accountability. That is what I do. Weight Wackers.

Good Luck, keep logging in.

Lots of good suggestions here already!

I've been doing WW at home since 1/24/04 and have lost 64.5 pounds so far. IMO, the most important thing is to not let anything make you waver from being OP. With planning, all events and celebrations are do-abe!

Your mental attitude is probably 85% responsible for the effectiveness level you will reach. If you have the right attitude, you will plan, plan, plan and you will do whatever it takes to succeed.

I also thank God everyday.... without fail.... but that's a personal issue.

If you want it, make it happen! If not now, when? Good luck to you!
