Back from the test. The phlebo. was good...hardly felt it!
Mama, they had taped up a newspaper from a doctor (Dr. Weil?) saying that we should all be nice to our phlebotomists. Very cool.
Shequilla, I hope you have a great trip! Don't stress too much about the breakfasts...it's pretty easy to get some cottage cheese, an omelet, or real oatmeal. Remember you can have Cheerios with skim milk, okay?
I second you,
Ruth, on how wonderful our SBDers are!

You guys make being a mod a really fun job.

: Thanks for being so supportive of each other and posting so much--it does help! You raise great questions, too! Ruth, I hope right now you are tooling around in a fancy "surrey with a fringe on top" and your bad leg propped up on the dash!

Seriously, I hope you get the cart and baby your sore leg. You have certainly done enough for the fair to warrant it.

When does Miss Lucy come home?
Mama, could Bun-bun be a furry little rabbit?

Enjoy your half day, and congrats to DD on her new home. How exciting!
Weezle, ick about the train! Reminds me of that scene in My Cousin Vinny.

Do you look at the remains from surgery at Job #2? I always wondered who did that. I wanted to see the polyp they removed during my sinus surgery, by my surgeon said that they send it to the lab to be analyzed for any signs of cancer or other things, just in case. Interesting job that must be! My mom was a med tech before she had kids, and she loved it.
Jodi, you sound so happy!

: Enjoy your camping trip! Did something happen with your DD or did I miss it? What's up with her thyroid? What major stuff to go through at her young age!
SKHerb, poor little pup! Hope it gets better! Enjoy the mall. I'm considering a trip myself tomorrow...but I know I should stay home and get stuff done.
SmilinTwins, congratulations on the three pounds! That's great!

We had the Spicy Chicken Kabobs from the SBD cookbook last night. Instead of kabobing them, DH cooked them in a nonstick pan and it turned into a delicious stir fry! If I'd known, I would have planned for veggies for it. Try it over brown rice...tastes just like something from a Chinese restaurant. Very good!

At an actual restaurant, I'd ask for steamed veggies and chicken...maybe look online to see what the ingredients are in garlic sauce or bean sauce. You might be able to have one of those. Otherwise, see if you can get some lemon, and maybe bring your own rice? That's a tough one!
Kiko, good for you on not touching all those goodies at the retreat! That must have been tough, but the stuff you brought with you actually sounds better to me. Yum!

Good for you! I have trouble with the darn chips, too. Usually tell them not to bring them, but sometimes they forget and I have to stare at the darn things. Arggggh!
Barb, those are great suggestions! So glad your son is growing up with healthy habits!

I hope my kids are the same way.

My god daughter loves broccoli/cauliflower/carrot mix--the frozen kind, and will take seconds on that before eating ice cream!

She's definitely not my genetic daughter!

But I think it is great!
LC, I bet if those kiddos have access to toys and you, they would be happy playing in a barn!

Seriously, I'm sure they will love their new room and so will you! Tell us what colors you are painting everything--are you doing a deep "Trading Spaces" color?
RNMom, I wish I knew what to tell you...I'm not moving either (except randomly upward). However, when I look at your sig, I am AMAZED at how close you are to goal! WOW!!! I think that in itself is an accomplishment!
Me:
Not too much going on this weekend. I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. I totally need it! I was almost falling asleep on the treadmill this morning.

DH will be working on creating a new staircase to the basement, which he is framing out to create a new living space. I'll probably putter around the house, do some chores, maybe work on a couple of quilt squares, etc.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
