Default Friday morning WAKE UP CALL!!!!

Wake up you sleepy heads!!!! Yoo hoo!!!!! OK I'm still at work and it's 0-dark-thirty and I thought I'd post.

Overindulged in popcorn tonight. Crunchy helps me stay awake. It isn't good to be awake for 24 hours either because I feel that I need to be eating for 24 hours . At least when I'm asleep I'm not eating.

Well, I hope you all have a great on program Friday. Could you pllleeeeaaassseee type quietly today so I can sleep. The other night you guys were way too noisy!

Love ya all more than my luggage!

Good morning, all you Beach Chicks~~

RNMOM, thanks for the long distance diagnosis. The pain is still there, but not as bad as Wednesday night. Hope you can get some rest today.

I'm so glad it's Friday! Yippeee!!! Had this hideous nightmare about a never-ending stream of patients and I ended up working something like 6 hours of OT and I don't even get paid for OT. Yeesh!

Yesterday wasn't bad at all. I even managed to get a few more pages written. My writing partner will be pleased.

Dh didn't enjoy his birthday as much as he'd have liked. Seems the doc touched his eardrum with the tip of a pair of forceps while removing the packing and it gave him quite a bit of pain all evening. He's calling in today b/c there was a teeny amount of blood on his pillow when he woke up.

So, what is everyone up to today? Whatever we do, let's stay quiet so RNMOM can sleep. Tippytype!

Hope everyone has a great day on the Beach!

Morning chickies, just a quick pop in for this morning as my Daddy is getting ready to leave to go back home to Yellowknife and I am I sure I will be crying here in the next hour. I always bawl like a baby when he leaves. I have not been OP at all but I am going to spend tonight getting organized as both DD's are away. One to Tronoto for 16 days and one going to Fredericton for 6 days. Yehaw. Well I will back soon. Have a great day.

Good Morning!

RNMOM Get some much needed rest today, although we have been so chatty here lately I can't promise that it will be quiet!

Weezle How many days into SB are you? Are you still in Phase 1? That could count for some of the exhaustion. Hang in there!

Mama Sorry to hear that DH is experiencing some pain with his ear. Should it be bleeding at all??

Not much planned for today- we are officially taking DD out of diapers and pullups. Today is the day for "underwears" as she calls them. I think we will stick close to home because I really don't know how this is going to go!

Hey ya'll.....Happy Friday...thought I would make a quick post before heading to the dentist....always a pleasant experience. It's another beautiful day here in VA. Was up early making egg muffins to take with me for the weekend. I think I am also going to make rice krispie treats and cookies to get the temptation out of my house...let the skinny beach goers that I will be with in DE eat them all.

I missed 2 meals yesterday...even though I had the food with me...I just get too busy. I did try to snack during the day on walnuts, celery and pb, and a cheese stick. By the time we got back from the grocery store last night, we were too darn tired. I am going to try to remember to eat today. It's definitely a challenge to eat so much as I never used to eat breakfast and usually snacked for dinner.

On another note....how much does starting phase 2 early throw the process off. I know we will have the opportunity to eat some of the things on Phase 2 this weekend and my question is.....do we eat it or skip it and not eat as much? Any thoughts?

Gotta run....and drill is waiting for me....

Have a great day!!!!!

Morning, Kiko, and good luck with your daughter. They say girls are easier to train than boys but I can't say since I only had a boy. It is certainly an adventure that I wouldn't like to repeat and I have to say that Brian's day care did the real work at training him since they had him so many hours each day.

This morning is my son's actual birthday but it is the party he is really waiting for on Sunday.

Morning ladies!!

All achy today, kickboxing class last night included circuit training. 2 minute stations with jump rope, bicep curls, abs and legs. I was pure jello when I walked out of that class. I know my abs will be sore tomorrow, day 2 post class is when the pain hits!!

Did well eating yesterday. Ended up making nachos for dinner. Well, DH had nachos and I had nacho meat on a bed of lettuce with about 1 tsp of sour cream. But I was satisfied.

Have my bag packed to eat here at work today. Battling a little need to emotional eat today. Couple things happening with the family, my father is in a home and has been causing quite a stir lately. And we have been planning on launching a home business with the idea that maybe I would WAH but are running into roadblocks. Eating won't make it better, I know that now. Just keep repeating the mantra...

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!! Have little to do at work today, so I am sure I will be lurking often.

Morning, everyone!

RNMom, I can't believe you work those hours! Do you stay real busy during that time? I think it would be very hard to stick to plan and try to stay awake! Hope you are getting a lot of sleep!

Mamacita, glad your nightmare was not true! Hope DH feels better...I had something like that happen when they removed my packing after sinus surgery. It's frustrating when you just started to heal from the pain and more comes...but he'll feel better soon, I hope!

LC: Sorry your dad is leaving! When I was little, I was so upset when my grandparents left that I sat under the dining room table for days before their departure and refused to talk with them! You give your Daddy a big hug. : What are the kiddos off doing?

Weezle, I felt tired through most of Phase 1, which is why I didn't exercise. The carbs really help you feel more energy, and you do miss them in Phase 1. Make sure you are drinking lots (I hear you on the bathroom visits in the night) as dehydration makes things worse. Hang in there...you'll feel much better in Phase 2!

Kiko, I wish you much luck with the potty training! Thanks for describing WATP. Sounds fun!

Shequila, I wish I had your problem...I'm sitting here trying to keep from eating my morning snack for another half an hour. Being busy sure is a cure for cravings! Hope the dental visit isn't bad.

Barb, I hope your son has a great b-day!

Not too much planned for today. I am exhausted after a long VBS last night. The kids did a little show for their parents, which everyone enjoyed. I'm sad to see it end, but so ready for a huge nap! I dragged myself to the gym today and did my cardio, which I felt nearly killed me. I haven't been this tired since I started SBD, and I'm not sure if it's been the late nights, eating late (after VBS) or adding that extra starch to the mix. We'll see how next week pans out...

A coworker is having a party tonight. I'm planning on eating before so I won't be tempted to snack. We'll see...I really just want to go home and sleep!

DH figured out that we had a leak in the pipes for our upstairs bathroom. Thankfully the leak didn't ruin anything, but it made a mess and DH had to shut off the cold water to the upstairs bathroom (the one we mainly use) until he can fix it this weekend. What an inconvenience...dragging stuff down the powder room to do my morning rituals! We're just blessed to have an extra shower in the powder room so we can still take our showers!

Tomorrow is my spa day! I've been planning this for months since I've had such a stressful year. I'm using the money from birthday gifts and that which I would have spent on food for those months, and treating myself to: one hour massage, a rosemary body scrub followed by all over body lotioning, a manicure, a european facial, finished off with cutting my hair much shorter, in a new style, and getting highlights (which I've never had). I'm looking forward to walking out of there feeling like a new woman! I'll be heading up to Ithaca for it, so I'm going to have to bring my lunch and really keep myself from eating up there...they have a Papa John's and so many great ethnic places to eat, but I'm going to stand firm.

Have a wonderful weekend, ladies! :

Good morning! I made it through Day 1. Now that sounded like it was a hardship but it wasn't really. The first day was easy. But the weekend is coming up and that will be a real test for me. I'm going to the grocery store tonight to stock up on SBD-friendly food.

Sheila, I'm in Delaware! What beach do you go to? I'm also from Va. Beach and hubby and I will be going down there next weekend (if he doesn't work) to see our parents. Small world.

I'll be back later...

Good morning, everybuddy! It's a pretty morning here in CA--- about 70 here at 8:15 and a few clouds in the sky. It should be in the high 80's, tho, later on.

I had a good op day yesterday--- yogurt and Kashi Go Lean! Crunch cereal for breakfast, tuna salad and an apple for lunch, dinner was some very lean roast beef, green beans and cole slaw (got the recipe from the new SBD CookBook) and ricotta cream for dessert. All pretty tasty, too!

Today I am meeting some other online friends for lunch in the nearby town of Tustin at The Macaroni Grill. I've checked their menu online and they serve salads so that's what I'll order. I'm looking forward to meeting these people (all teachers!) We've chatted for years but we've never met before!

I'm feeling quite a bit better after my surgery 2 weeks ago. I'm sleeping better (hard to get comfortable the first few nights) feeling stronger and more "with it" and have almost zero pain from my incision. I really think my weight loss has a lot to do w/my swift recovery! I just wish I could exercise-- but I won't until the Doc ok's it!

Have a great day y'all! I'll probably post again later after my lunchtime meeting.

Default I'm up

It wasn't ya'll that woke me up this time. It was my overachiever type A, AR neighbor mowing and weedeating his lawn.........ugh. I'm sitting here at the computer in a coma....

Beachgal, ya being up for that many hours is hard on the resolve. We stay busy for most of it. I left at 0230. At about midnight a paramedic student who has been interning in the ER went down to Jack in the Box. I love their 3 for a dollar tacos...........sigh. He brought back a ton of food. At midnight what do I want????? Hmmmm,,,, greasy french fries and taco? Chicken breast cut up on a bed of lettuce, cuke and tomatoes. Well, I know what I wanted, but I ate my chicken and salad I brought from home.

Twin girl, take some motrin now, before your kickboxing moves catch up to you. Hot bath with some epson salts is heaven too.

Mama, don't ever dream about working overtime with no pay! I call that a nightmare! This payperiod I will have worked 105 hours! We have been so short staffed! Take care of the wrist. Take care of the Mama!!!

Good morning everyone! I'm new, but I'm just gonna jump right it!

I saw "Super Size Me" last night and WOW! What a motivating movie! I don't care for fast food that much anyway, but the health risks associated with being overweight were really drilled into my brain. This movie definitely motivates me even more to lose weight.

Today is my first "real" day on the beach. I had some fruit and other non Phase-1 things to use up, so now I can officially start.

Have a great day everyone!!

That movie really turned me off from fast food. I used to eat it all the time...i love McD's french fries. I don't know that I have had fast food since I saw it a couple months ago. If only I had seen it sooner.....
