... But from your description you are not a newbie at all...
I've been weight training for almost 20 years now and love it of course... I'm not interested in competing at all but would love to look like it

.... So I keep trucking along with many highs and lows along the way... The last 2 years have been the best for me, this is since hanging around here and meeting this great group of gals who help move me along and motivate me...
Yes, I do think that the moto here is certainly : 'More muscle, less fat, watch the carbs.' I watch my carbs also and usually try to eat them at the start of the day rather than for supper but when I am famished after an afternoon workout I will eat some for supper but only half a cup or so brown rice, half a yam or potatoe... For the life of me I cannot seem to get the 50p/25c/25f... When I average out my intake on a monthly basis on Fitday I get 33/33/33... but it is working for me at the moment... I've never really tried the carb cycling it just seems like too much work for me
