Default not losing weight ...

i'm 18, 5'2, and about 150 pounds. I really need to lose 15 pounds to get back to my original weight before college. I've been trying since april, sticking to low carb plans and for the past three weeks, going to the gym 3 times a week, but i haven't lost more than 2 or 3 pounds.

how can i jumpstart my weight loss? i usually only eat two meals a day, i go to the gym three times a week, and do some form of excercise everyday.

please help!

Default Eat more

Eat more, and eat more often! I know it sounds counterproductive, but eating 5 or 6 small meals a day will keep your metabolism up and help you lose weight. Breakfast is especially important. Also, eating more will help you maintain your stamina during your workout so you can exercise for longer. Keep track of your calories and make sure you get in at least 1200 a day. Also be sure to add some fat to your diet if you're going really low fat. Olive oils, nuts and seeds are good sources of essential fatty acids that will help to boost your metabolism if it's acting sluggish. Right now if you're eating two moderate-sized meals a day, you're only taking in around 600 to 800 calories, and that wears on your energy levels as well as decreasing your metabolism. Your body needs fuel in order to function normally, and you can't lose weight if your body is not functioning normally. Try eating small meals more often, and make sure you're getting enough fat in your diet. You may also want to check your water intake; the recommended amount is 8-10 cups a day, but if your working out and/or on a high-protein diet you may need to increase that to 12-15 cups a day. Also, adding weights to your exercise routine might help; most of the ladies here will swear by strength training for boosting weight loss. Hope that helps
