Where is everybody??? Well, the coffee is ready so come on over
This weekend I am going to use up all the non-allowed foods that are in my house, in preparation of re-starting Phase 1 Tuesday (roasted vegies with ziti, fund-raiser pizza in the freezer, grilled hamburgers on the buns, etc). I will also use the time to make my lists and re-stock my kitchen with allowed foods. Since DH is down with his knee, he will not be able to bring in to the house his usual cookies, ice cream, etc. This will be a huge help in getting through the first phase. Hey, I guess that he is on the SB plan, too
Ellis~~Sorry to hear that your Dad is still having problems. I hope that he can get the surhery moved up sooner, for his sake.
Starting on the first cup of coffee- I have been so tired in the mornings thee past few days.
Not much on the agenda for today, my mom and I are going to go to an outdoor Art Festival in a nearby town. We never by anything at these, but love to be outside milling around. My daughter always has fun checking everything out.
Other than that, a quick trip to the store and that should be about it. Unfortunately my husband is working today, so it will be just the two of us.
I made it through what could have been a serious binge last night. Sadly, the scale hasn't budged in the past few days. I am trying not to get discouraged, because I know I am doing what I need to do and that the scale will catch up, but it is still frustrating!!
Thanks for your good wishes for my Dad, Sil and Kiko.
Sil, I'd say your DH being down with knee surgery is divine intervention.
Kiko, you made it through yesterday!! Good for you, hon! Don't get discouraged... that scale WILL move downwards... hang in there...
It's chilly this morning, but lovely and sunny. I'm going to do a bit of gardening and some more de-cluttering. I did a shipload of stuff around the house yesterday, and I feel that I'm finally getting on top of things.
Good Day all. Just having my morning sludge......why is decafe so greasy compared to regular?
I've been going up and down all week between 155 and 159-can't seem to make it stay down, but at least it's under my start weight!
We will have a quiet day here, dh is working, so we will go for a long walk (hit a few parks I'm sure....)
Tommorow we have a kid's birthday party to go to. Do you think it's rude to bring my own food? I know the parents have stocked up on my favorates, cake, chips and other goodies. Also the soda this family drinks is insane. I was thinking of packing some sugar peas and crystal light. Thankfully it's only a few hrs long!
Hope everyone who gets a long weekend has a good one.
I took my old cat in to the vet's this morning. He'd been losing weight and seemed to be breathing harder than normal. They X-rayed his chest and said his chest was filled with fluid. He only had about 25% of his normal lung capacity and the fluid was of a color that normally indicates cancer. I ended up having Ivory put to sleep. The treatment plan would have been very intensive in the emergency room and given his age (13) he didn't have much chance of survival. I'm sure going to miss him and I dread telling my son when he gets back from camping.
But I'm not going to drown my sorrow in food. I WILL continue to eat right
Aw, Barb, it is so hard to lose a pet! Ivory is in cat heaven now.
Now SIL! "Where is everybody?" HA! I was at the Greenhouse very early this morning loading up my car with plants for the big fairground planting bee. I ended up doing it all myself as the guys were busy with hammers, nails and weed whackers!
I just showed off my darling Girls to two potential buyers of the yet to be concieved puppies. A friend is on her way over to get some perennials from me. Then I go back to the Greenouse for yet more plants for the village planting if we ever get those barrels in place! BBQ supper tonight but I hope to work in a nap before then!
Keeping busy but will check back later. (I must confess I had a burger with bun at the work bee. Salad and BBQ tonight for sure!)
Good eveing chickies it is 11:20 here and this is the first time I have had a chance to get in here since yesterday. I drove DH to the funeral and hour away and turned around and drove right back. He got home this afternoon and said that it was very sad, 4 friends and his ex wife got up and spoke as well as his brother it was very moving. Then another friend bagged up small treelings to give to everyone to plant in his memory. I am looking for the perfect spot to plant our tree. My dd had her gymnastics show this afternoon and one of the young girls fell off the bars and broke her arm during the practice before and had to have surgery tonight they have to put in a disc and pins, she broke it just above the elbow. Then it was home for a quick supper then out second hand shopping with a friend. Then it was off to pick up one dd at her cousins and then the other from a bday party. Plus brought home an extra kid. Finally got them all into bed I am sure the are not sleeping but atleast they are being quite. So it is my time on the puter. WOW I am yaking way to much.
Barb so sorry to hear about your Ivory. Sending you Take care and I hope your son takes it well.
Ruth you goddess of the Gardens I wish I had you green thumb. I will not confess all the things I have eaten in the last few days.
Ellis- hugs for you and your dad. Hope everything will be ok. Take care.
