Can you drink Soy Milk? That might be a good substitute for dairy, as well as soy cheese. I'm not sure what to tell you to eat but there are lots of forums on here where people are doing many different plans. Check them out and see what is right for you.
If you just want to count calories, I find this site

I am on South Beach and I personally love it. For me, carbs are what keeps my weight on so when I control the amount I eat, I lose weight. But things work differently for different people.
