I am actually going back to see my dad and brother in NY. Going "home" I guess you would call it. My brother just got out of the Coast Guard -- I haven't seen him in a year! I am rather excited about it.

Not excited about bringing the cat on the 4 hour drive though!

I'm doing nothing except working on my grad research and wedding invitations.

jenne - I'm a computer geek. I'm doing research on dynamic optimizations. So as high level as I can get.. when you write a computer program it needs to be compiled to a machine language so that your processor can execute the code. My research would take that executable code and apply some transformations to it to make it run faster when you execute it. There is someoverhead to doing this, but the optimization must make it worth it in the end. I'm working on one specific transformation.. but there could be many in your runtime system.

Ok.. bored yet?

So far, my weekend plans include a baseball game on Friday (with DH) and Saturday (with a friend) and hopefully Sunday (with people from church?), too. The Yankees are in town this weekend, so those are always fun games to go to. Other than that, I'm a fairly last-minute person, so who knows what I'll end up doing...

Nothing special planned, but I start my new job (I'm working with a new family, this time I'm watching 2 five-year old twin girls and their 7 year old brother) on Saturday. My fiance is in the process of moving out of his current apt. until he leaves for his internship at the beginning of June, so I'll be helping him with that. And homework, seeing as how next week is the last week of classes and all.

Yay...a 3-day weekend! Of course, my last day of school (teaching) is this Friday, so it'll extend beyond that...but DH will have 3 days off, which is always nice. Not yet sure what we're going to do....something fun, though! We may get together with DH's parents (especially in light of the fact that we're about to move across the country). Going to the lake would be fun! We'll see...

I'm not exctly sure what I'll be doing. My husband was going camping with a friend, but it's supposed to storm again this weekend (like Iowa really needs more rain right now...) I was going to hang out with a friend I haven't seen in a while, but I think she's bailing on me. She's not being mean, but she's got grad parties to attend & her bro is running track at state. So I was looking forward to having a quiet weekend, but now that dh will be around, I guess not (not that I really mind that he's around.)

Hi all -
My husband and I are staying home for the weekend, we are broke because we just got back from Italy! I was so beautiful ~ we went to Venice, Florence and Piza. We did as much as we could to cut down on cost (camping) but with the exchange rate it was still expensive. Gas is about $5.50 a gallon and we drove everywhere.
Needless to say my diet was OFF. Every morning I had a cappicino and crossiant for breakfast, then pizza one meal a day. In my own defence - the pizza is WAY different there. VERY thin crust, minimal cheese and fresh veggie toppings.
I didn't loose any weight, but I didn't gain any either (must have been all of that walking).
I hope all of you have a great weekend - lots of healthy BBQs!
