Default Another TOM thread

Quick question. Has anybody's cycle/flow changed since starting SBD?

I've only gone through one, Amanda, but I went from a Thursday to Tuesday girl (about two years of that) to Tuesday to Sunday this month. Ack! I also got some bad cramps and some cravings (which I had never noticed before, but might have had).

What about you?

Only had one so far, but I did start a day early which is rare since I'm on the pill.

I noticed that I wasn't cranky or irritable at all. I'm in Phase 1 week 2 and I had absolutely NO cravings, which is a huge for me. I'm usually attacking the chocolate all day at work!

I did have killer cramps though. The worst I've had in years. Someone once told me that milk helps cramps. I'm a big milk drinker, about 3 -4 glasses a day and also eat yogurt a lot, so I've cut way back while on SB. I wonder if that could be why?

Mine came earlier than usual and I know that's not uncommon on the pill. I was curious to see if it was purely coincidence. My cramps were not nearly as bad as before.

Mine hasn't changed just b/c of the diet, (I'm on Yasmin) but I think the diet has helped with the pre-TOM bloating I used to get.

For those of you who get really bad cramps, there's an herbal thing out there called Blessed Thistle combination. Usually has cramp bark and squaw vine along with the blessed thistle. It worked very nicely to relive the cramps, back when I'd get them. Also, I take 2 evening primrose oil capsules, twice a day, starting about a week before I'm due to start. That has seemed to help with the headache/backache thing.

Default Mine has changed only with regard to bloating

in that I don't retain water weight the week BEFORE, but rather when I'm actually having the flow. I don't what that's all about, and I'm not complaining, but it's rather strange!

FWIW, I'm probably perimenopausal (age 43), so all kinds of funky things are happening....

Um well cramps are not as bad as before SBD but flow seems to last longer! UGH just what I needed! I used to have a short one now it is probably normal. Other than that I still have one. If only it would go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
