Default Newbie too!

I am new in the forum also. Just happened onto it hunting for recipes.
What great recipes for dieting!! Sure would like to have a buddy, I need to lose about 30 pounds and I keep falling off all my diets! I am 59 and have always been a few pounds over weight but now I am out of control.
Help! Would love to a buddy to email with.

Hi Vgirl!
I'm new as well.
I started a couple of weeks ago, combining WW and counting calories. I also try to work out every day.

I'll be your buddy if you want to, I can need some support myself!

hi you guys...just started today myself...i've tried everything and failed everything..i am really concerned about health problems at my age...i just turned 56..maybe having a buddy would help..what do you think? i don't even know where to start...so many diets and so confusing..midge

^ I think having some support, people to talk to about weight loss is a huge help.
so what kind of diet are you thinking of trying, maybe a low carb diet?

i started ww 1 week ago on sunday..As of yesterday I lost 8 lbs. There is so much support here . I am 56 and getting healthy. So mant diets that i could be the diet queen --that always fails-- but not now. welcome jumbo shrimp

i've tried them all...just failed on the atkins...thought i would just try to eat healthy like the sugar busters diet...low carb but can still eat the bread(whole wheat), yams, brown rice etc...i don't plan on failing on this one because i'm going to think of it as a healthy way to eat rather than a quick fix diet like i always look for...how about you?

I came across this site when looking up diet pills (Liprovan - sp?) - I know not the way to go -- just FRUSTRATED. Tried way too many diets - need to loose 50, tired of WW - looking for something I can stick with and have yet to find it...

Talking Me too!!

Hi, I too would like to lose about 30 pounds, but I'll take 15. Heck, at this point, I'll take one pound of loss!! I MAY have lost one pound. It's been 10 days since I started, but really, only got serious about Sunday, so this could really only be day4!


I too want a buddy, and thank goodness, a lady emailed me yesterday & we've been fast & furious emailing foods & personal info. That really helps!!

Please feel FREE to email me [email protected] ... Having someone to encourage, be encouraged, and be accountable to is the best feeling. I really want to stick with this thing and feel better... about myself and physically feel better too!!!

p.s. I love antiques, and what is 'red hat lady' ??
