Default Weight Distribution Issues

Hello. I'm fairly new to the weight lifting thing. I've had the FIrm tapes for awhile, but got in a car accident and was out of commission for awhile. I"ve been doing them again now for the past two weeks, about three times a week. I've also changed my eating habits for the better, ditched soda and sugar, and have also upped the water I drink.

I like what I see. When I'm in my skivvies, I can see more muscle definition, and cleaner lines in my profile. I'm ignoring the scale because I think it likes to flash arbitrary numbers at me, anyway. Last weekend I could easily fit into size six pants, no problem. Being that I was working out this morning, and feeling really good about it, I thought I"d throw those babies on. It always makes me feel good to know they fit...UNTIL..

This morning. They don't fit, even though the arbitrary lottery machine I step on every once in awhile says I weigh less. What is that?

I suspect, and I hope that it's a weight distribution issue. Maybe because of my eating and water as well as the cardio-weight mix of the Firm, my body has to rearrange itself. Is this a valid theory or am I just out of ideas?

This is freakin' me out because I really want to lose about ten pounds and gain some muscle definition, but it's like it's working backwards, or just not making sense at all.

Maybe this is a normal thing for people new to weight lifting? I"m not sure, and that's why I'm asking...

Sounds weird- TOM? Too many carbs and salt yesterday? Unless you built massive glutes overnight, it doesn't make much sense to me either.

I'd look more at your diet yesterday or the time of month.

Sounds more like a water retention issue to me!

Too much water/carbs/salt, not enough water/carbs/salt, time of the month, temperature changes, time of day, "I just felt like it" all good reasons for your size 6's not to fit, especially if they only just fit last week!!!!

It is unlikely that exercise has changed your body shape in just 1 week. Stick with it another day or 2 and see what happens!
