Hi! My name is Micki and I seriously need to lose weight!! I am 38, married for 9.5 years (10 on March 19th), and a SAHM to three great kids! My kids are A (a girl) who is 8 3/4 (she'll be 9 on 1/14), R (a boy) who is 7, and M (a girl) who is 6. They are the light of my life and we're always on the go since A and R are very involved with gymnastics. R is on a competitive boys gymnastics team and A is on a developmental girls team (soon to be on a competitive team...hopefully in the summer). My little one, M, is on a competitive cheerleading team. So...we're always on the run and you think with all that running, I'd be skinny...NOT!
I currently weigh 211 and I'm 5'5" tall. I do hide my weight well and most people guess I'm around 170 or so...don't I wish !! My goal is to get to 130 or so...right now I'd even be happy with 140!! I wear the biggest sweaters and shirts I can find to hide my flab and it's just not flattering to me at all and makes me look bigger than I am!!
I've tried every diet under the sun and currently have been stuck for about a year trying to do Atkins with no success. I'm still trying to decide how to "diet" and am thinking of just giving it a go on my own...filling my calories into fitday.com and see how that works. Does anyone have any ideas for me? What has worked for you?
Hi Micki!! Welcome to 3FC!! We're all trying to do different plans, but for the most part, I think most of us do WW. The thread has been kind of slow lately, but hopefully we can pick back up!
