It is so great to be back to normal - well, normal for us!
Suzanne has been really busting her butt to get us back up and is really upset that we have lost so many posts BUT we are now about 7 weeks younger and our holiday food transgressions have disappeared.
Freezing cold indoors and out this morning. I lugged the dump stuff to the edge of the road and met a walker who was striding along with an icicle hanging from his nose! Sheesh! Hard to talk to someone when they are wearing an icicle! Like where do you look?
Kevin is coming tomorrow morning to enlarge the door to my closet so I need to clear out everything for him. I did pitch some winter clothes when I got them out but more are going to hit the dust this afternoon. My PC is in the bedroom too so I won't be online as much as usual. I may go to the Fair Office for a bit and use that computer to peek at you Beach Beauties.
I have some stuff to check out and some TVM stuff to do but will try to pop in later.
Oh, I don't know... it's sort of refreshing having lost all those posts. It's like we've been given another chance.
I DO miss the "new" smileys, though. Particularly this one. :O
Ellis, Suzanne will probably get them back but not for a while. In the meantime, we'll just have to suffer. Things will be coming back slowly - kind of like an Advent calendar!
Oh, I hope that didn't sound complaining. I'm not suffering at all, but I know Suzanne is. And I KNOW you are.
We just had a fast and furious snow storm.
An icicle.
I have a friend who was doing the bbqing once for a community event. His glasses were fogged up, and his nose dripped continuously as he flipped the burgers.
Wow what a couple of days! No school for us yesterday, today and most likely tommorow! I am so happy about that, course now one of my bills will be late but oh well. I can't even call them to pay cause I can't get to the bank to deposit my check! UGH.
We got 10 inches of snow dumped on us yesterday and if you look about 1.5 inches so far of ice on top of it, as we have had nothing but freezing rain since last night.
Been trying to stay OP but it is difficult as I am running out of options and no way to the store. So like yesterday I had to snack on my 7*7*60 bread, glad it is only 4 net carbs per slice!
ROFL and a big hello to Ruth and Ellis
and to Suzanne- Hang in there, this will pass and may even be better than before! :
Gotta go, I have kids telling me they are still hungry and need more breakfast, and well I have yet to feed myself or dbf as well so I will check in later!
Okay Emily, you've convinced me to stop (for the moment, anyhow) complaining about the weather here. You poor girl... it sounds DREADFUL! You stay home, girl, and stay safe!!
Oh, now it is raining hard lol and they just announced that the state police are gearing up for flooding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! I can't wait until we move now!
Oh boy, does this mean all the bad stuff that happened between now and last November was just a bad dream? I can wish, can't I?
So glad we are back up....a huge hug and thanks to the hardy souls that keep us all connected! Suzanne, you ROCK!
So Ruth, did you offer the frozen walker a hankie or an ice scraper! YUCK! Funny, but YUCK!
10 inches of snow, then freezing rain? I, too, will stop complaining about our cold weather....at least for now! Emily, my heart goes out to you...sending warm, snuggly thoughts your way! Sure hope you aren't affected by flooding.
I finally decided on pendant lights for above the fireplace and got them ordered, along with a hallway light, outside light, and sconce for the top of the stairs. Whew! Online shopping is exhausting! LOL! Also ordered a ladder....one of those multi position combination dohickies...we have two story ceilings in the great room, plus stairs to contend with. Now I'll have no excuses NOT to get the dang thing painted. If I weren't so doggone cheap I would hire someone to climb up ladders and lug buckets. Oh well...maybe it is good exercise?
Well, I really should finish putting away the Christmas stuff. Undecorated the tree finally, now just have to stash the stuff.
Have a great day all, so glad we are up and running again!
Hey Ruth! I like the idea of being 7 weeks LIGHTER and less stressed!! As a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind being 20 YEARS lighter (in weight) 5 years younger (grey hair) and 40 years less depressed!!!
Ellis-STOP COMPLAINING!!! (snicker)
Emily-YIKES!! Hope the bizarre weather stops soon!!! What next? Locusts?!?
Franny-Good to see you here and happy!! DH took our tree down last weekend which is a MIRACLE!!! There HAVE been years when it has stayed up until FEBRUARY!!! (Not as much since we had kids...hard to have a birthday party in late Jan. with the tree still up!!)
Glad to be able to come here and say "HI!!" again. Missed all of you! BIG thanks to Ruth and the original 3FCs for getting us up again!! Now give yourselves a pat on the back and pour yourselves a (legal) drink!!!
Thank god I finally got back here what a time I had logging in. Made me want to eat a chocolate anything Thanks Suzanne for getting us back. I had withdrawl yesterday and today. Well now that I finally got here I can't stay. I am in the middle of tiding up the house and I need to get my dance routines started for my 5 year old class on sat. I also have a meeting tommorow night and have to coach gymnastics friday night so it is now or never and never is not an option I have been OP for the last two days just in case you were wondering. Well I really have to go I will try to check in later or in the morning. Love to ya all.
Did you miss me? We just got back from our trip to Texas to visit family for a belated Christmas. Have really missed posting and checking to see how everyone is doing....but I didn't have access to a computer there. However, I see that everyone has been having a bit of problems here, and I got back at just the right time after all!!!
I'm back ready to start back on Phase 1 with a vengence as I said I would . Is everyone else ????
I'll write more tomorrow. Glad to be back. I had a long 800 mile trip today, and I'm going to bed.
Hugs to all.
Sharon
Hi everyone: I finally made it after some difficulty with password, etc. This is really a tough break for Suzanne.
We are having a cold snap for us. going to be in the 40's tonight. But I know all you gals who are having the really cold and yucky weather don't feel a bit sorry for us.
Frannie: Nice to have you back.
Back on Phase 1 for me. Have to get rid of my Christmas loose living. And we are going on a cruise January 18th and I will have to be very careful, or I'll undo whatever I may accomplish roght now.
This is my last month as Chairperson of our Activities Committee. I'll will be glad to turn the reins over to someone else. 4 years is enough. I will have a very busy week before we cruise, and I will really enjoy the relaxation.
