Default still finishing Halloween candy, but will be at the beach for the first time tommorow

Hello,I am Stacy and I just bought the book.I will continue reading today and tonight.I have a brief idea of the plan.

One question,in phase one and I allowed some skim milk in my morning coffee?

I know Atkins said 1/2 and 1/2 was okay, but I just read no dairy.Has anyone had any milk and still seen success?

I have done w.w. on and off for the past year.I did lose 40+lbs but I am having a hard time staying on it and maintaining my loss.I would still like to lose 30-40 lbs.I know sweets and junk and my downfall.

Anyway,I would love some support.I am a sahm with 3 girls ages 8,4,and 2.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Well if you are only using a tbsp or two I don't think it will hurt you, but you will see better results if you skip the milk alltogether.

What I would do is to start the plan and try it if you don't see any weight loss, cut out milk and figure out a plan b for the morning coffee.

Truth be told, I did have some milk on phase 1 but it was not everyday. I did lose weight but not as much as I would have liked (only 5 pds)

Hi Tryin Welcome!!! I have cream in my coffee everyday and it has not hurt me one bit, although I only have 1 cup in the am. Play around with it and see what works best for you

Do you know caffine will make you crave sugar? Cut the coffee or use decaf and it may be easier to pass up on the coffee.

I think the SBD book suggests using the FF half and half in coffee, even on phase 1. Land 'O Lakes sells it. Sometimes you have to search a few groceries to find it, or ask your grocer to order it. We use it occasionally to make scrambled eggs too. I think the SBD book says to limit the amount...but I typically have only 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day, so I figure that limits my intake. I can not begin to drink black coffee. I also haven't limited my caffeine, but we are losing, I am down 10 punds in 8 days and he is down 5 pounds in 8 days.

Good Morning to you all !!!!

Well,I am here at the beach with my towel and sipping on my morning cup of coffee with a bit of skim milk.I plan on buying the ff land o lakes cream today.I did notice in a few of the recipes for Phase 1 it is used.

So,I am excited to give this plan a try.I am even more excited to have friends to talk to while on my towel at the beach.

I will let you all know how day one is going later.

Thanks again for everyone's support.

Stacy

One thing I don't understand about the FF Half and Half. Why would he (Dr. A) rather have that instead of skim milk? No fat in skim milk, and only naturally occuring sugars. In FF H&H, there is corn syrup...

I was surprised to see it on the list.
