Question another question and small confession

O.k., yesterday was a bad day in general so by the time we got home from work both dbf and I were tired and had had it. Dbf insisted on pizza which I willingly agreed to (I'm in phase 1). The awesome news is that I only had 2 pieces whereas before i would normally have 6. I will also confess that I had 2 glasses of diet soda and a very small piece of cheese bread, NOT dunked in marinara sauce......but here is my question.

I went to look up what the GI said for pizza.

The book says for cheese pizza it is 86.
Prevention.com says it is 60.

What do I follow??

There are two scales for GI measuring. One is glucose, and one is white bread. You can use either one, but look on that same scale so you will know how to average it out within the acceptable range. I heard that Prevention was going to add the second scale to the website to prevent confusion.

You really did have a victory, the eating of the two pieces is the accomplishment, that is moving things more into a lifestyle. Losing weight is only secondary to keeping it off. Don't be too hard on yourself, you did great!! Life will happen, its about the choices your making, and you sound like your going in the right direction!!!!
