Default New to South Beach

Hi! I have been on a loose SBD for 8 days, and have not lost a pound! Disappointed, I am ready to fully devote myself to the diet plan starting today, Day 1 of Phase 1. My sister is an inspiration, for she has lost over 20 pds. in less than 7 weeks. I am currently 137, was 140, and my goal weight is 116 pds. Thanks for all the support, and good luck to us all!

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME

Come join us at the DAILY, Just Chat and Bootcamp.

Since you don't have lots to lose your progress will be a tad slower, but it will come off!

Good Luck

Hello welcome to SBD. You'll start losing eventually. It takes some time depending on your weight now. I lost about 20 lbs so far, but am at a standstill right now...been at a standstill for about a month now and it's getting aggravating. But I keep telling myself it's a new day

Good luck, babedoll... I've learned that patience is the key. And I'm assuming you're not tall, right? Because for me, at 5'6", 116 lbs would not be a healthy weight and I don't think the SBD would take me there. Actually, NO healthy diet would take me there... as much as I want to be a size 0. :-D I didn't lose anything for the past 3 weeks, but I stepped on the scale Saturday, and somehow I had lost 5 lbs all of a sudden! That never would have happened if I didn't hang in there, as frustrated as I was... The important thing for me is to just eat right, exercise regularly, and then let it go. I know it has to happen eventually, and it will for you too!

Everyone is passing on great advice here, of course, if you only have 20 pounds to lose, you will not lose in in 10 days!! If you have 100pounds to lose, then 20 pounds in 10 days is more appropriate!!!

You may not lose weight as quickly depending upon your TOM, if your eating high sodium content foods and you just may be losing inches.....stick with it for the full two weeks faithfully and you will see results.

I suggest doing your measurements, that will be the most telling when the scale is not moving......

Good Luck and hang in there!!!
