Default New Monday, New start!

I took a break from the SBD, but I am starting, all over, tomorrow! I tried, and failed for a bit, but I feel confident that I can do this! You guys have such a great way of supporting each other. I love this site!

I'm starting Monday also. Good luck!

I read that the South Beach Diet Cookbook is going to be released soon, but it didn't give a date. Does anybody know anything about it?

I am redoing Phase I too....had a rough weekend. I seem to do real well during the week while I'm at work...but on weekends, it seems that the food is always calling my name

Cchoy, welcome back to the beach! Don't consider it failure...consider it practice! New habits are not made overnight...unfortunately! For me having this forum to read and post to has made a world of difference, so jump right in!

MSgal-stop by the Boot Camp Challenge as we will be discussing how to fight the problems that come from weekend lack of structure...you're certainly not alone in that dilemna!

Talking I'm starting today for the first time!

Hi All
I'm starting today for the very first time! So far, so good! I just finished my midmorning snack of celery and laughing cow lite cheese. My husband is doing it, too. He's so sweet - he doesn't need to lose any weight, but he likes the idea of restarting the body.

Last week, I made my last pot of potato-corn chowder (because I know how I crave it this time of year) I made sure to have a little bit of the things I know I'll miss. But now I'm ready to get down to business!

It will be good to be with you all as we get through the first two weeks together. I have to admit - I've been such a pasta eater. When I went shopping to stock up on the right foods, it was funny to notice the aisles I didn't even go down. I was in Trader Joe's and went right past "Cracker Alley!"

HI! Good luck with South Beach!! I'm restarting too, before I regain ALL the weight I lost!! Lots of good people here. I love Trader Joe's!! Yes, there are things you have to avoid, but lots of things that are allowed too!!!

I'm 20 pounds away from regaining all I lost on WW two years ago. But not any more! No more regaining.

I'm excited right now, but I know Phase I will be a struggle. Good luck to all the others who are starting today, too!

Hi, mind if I jump in, sounds like a great bunch, I too have just started today the Phase 1 of SBD. So it could be alot of help if we go through this together. I am a yo yo dieter, lose and gain and gain. I lost 12 pounds this spring which got me to 198, below the terrible twos, I have gained 4 back and now am sitting at 202. Gotta get below the twos again. It was such a good feeling. Well I will check in later.

I'm right with you. My first little goal is to get under 200. That will make me happy. Then I have the goal of getting to 176 - where I was right after I had my daughter. Then it will be 150 - what I weighed before getting pregnant. After that - whoo boy! Anything is great!

I've only seriously dieted once before. I lost 50 pounds on WW. When my husband reached his goal weight (he lost 40 pounds.) I stopped losing weight. Slowly, I've climbed back up.

It's great to know I'm not alone!

I have been doing SBD/low carb combo, but felt the best doing phase one of SBD. I have melted away 10 pounds since 8/29. I still have 70 pounds to follow, but when I started just a short time ago I was looking at 80, whoo hoo.

I will be very happy when I hit onederland again. It will really make me happy, I have never felt good in the 2's, in my mind I just want to melt!!!

For me, no matter what I do, right now, each day is like the first day, and I am so grateful when the day is over and I have done what I said I was going to do....that is really the best feeling, when I have taken care of myself. This time will be the time that I keep it off--that is more important to me then the weight going down.

Good luck to everyone, this is a great plan for those of you just begining, and you will feel great and get results.....just use these boards, these amazing women probably know more about the diet then the doctor who wtote it!!

Welcome new beach chickies! I totally agree that you will love it here. The support keeps me going when I am really stressed out and feel like resorting to my old bad habits. We are all in this together and learn from one another.
Good luck and keep your resolve strong!

Yesterday (10/06) was our first day. I felt hungry, but I know it was all in my head, because here it is, 10AM, and I've eaten the same things as yesterday, but nothing...no pangs, growling, etc.

I forgot my book at work so we are doing the day 1 menu again, today, since I know what was in that. It doesn't matter, because everyone loved the Tuna I made for dinner, last night...we hate salmon.

I mixed, in a sandwhich bag, Italian herbs (oregano was deffinately one), paprika, ginger (powdered) & some cajun seasoning (cayene & other spices). I coated one side of the fish and patted it in. Then I placed that side down in a pre-heated pan (with olive oil) and coated the other side....Ohhhhweeee that was good!!! The children don't mind one bit eating that agin!
