Red face 62 Kilos down 6 Kilos to go! Diary

I will be using this to track my daily goals and weight loss progress.
I am aiming to lose 6 kilos with strength training and portion calorie control.

My goals
Reach daily step goal 10000 steps
Workout 5 days a week with weights / resistance bands.
Protein 100 grams a day min.
Calories per day 1500

Every day I will post and check if I met each goal. I will update my weight daily and share my progress and weight graph after I have enough data. My starting weight is 53 kilos. I will also be doing before and after photos so I can see the changes in my body over time.

Took my before photos today.

Legs feel sore today so had an extra egg with breakfast to get my protein up. The scale was down again and feeling positive with how this is going. I’d ideally like to reach my goal by May 2025. The one thing I learned on my weight loss journey is slow and steady is best. It would be really nice if I could be at 50 kilos for Christmas so let’s see how it goes!

Excited to see the 50.8 today. It’s a workout day and lifting some weights and feels good lots of energy. Think increasing my protein level is making a difference. I think I will be on track to see 50 kilo at Christmas maybe even 49! Let’s go ❤️

A new week and Im getting a lot done today. Behind on so many things after getting sick. So feels good to get on top of things and do some food prep for the week too. Workout today is focused on arms. No weight loss today, but that’s fine I lost consistently for the last week.

Super tired today. I didn’t sleep well last night, went to bed late, and woke too early. Felt low energy all morning and by the time I’d had breakfast and got some protein in me pre workout, I didn’t feel much better. Consistency is key though and I did my workout and did glutes today. Really struggled at the end, but felt satisfied to check it off. Tomorrow is a rest day so I can relax then. Woke up hungry too so made sure to bump the carbs and calories up a little today. Weight went back down from yesterday meanIng I can still be on track for a Christmas weight under 50 🙏🏻

Big drop on the scale today, which was a not unwelcome surprise. I think I will easily now see my below 50 goal of Christmas. Bumping up the calories seems to bring on more loss! My period is due soon though so I know at some point I’ll be gaining for that. Hunger cravings have normalised a bit which is a relief. PMS is always so hard to resist.

Plan to do some investing soon and tie up most of my funds for 5 years. That is also great as it will mean sticking to a very strict budget one that doesn’t account for binge food. In a way I feel anxious about taking away my food spending money. Still I think it’s what I need as it’s so easy with Uber eats and a card to order in when weak.


Also wanted to say replies are welcome if people are reading this.

Hige day exercise wise. Did workout very early as I had a lot of Christmas errands to run. Met with a friend for coffee and then was all over the place. By the time I got home I’d racked up almost 11km on my smart watch and 65 zone minutes. Are a massive bowl of porridge and had a protein shake when I got back and feel completely tired now. Weight was up this morning but when I got home it was back down after all the running around sweating. Having a beer tonight so that added a bit extra to the intake and coffee out.

Tired and bloated today period due. No workout today and have just felt tired after yesterday. Extra protein today to help my body rest and recover. Normally I gain more with my period so we will see. I don’t feel like I got enough sleep last night. Put fresh sheets on my bed so hope I can sleep in tomorrow on Sunday. Spent a lot of my afternoon putting together a table that at the end the drawer didn’t fit. I’m terrible at putting dirt I tire together. Sad moment.

Started getting cramps and my weight jumped up. So not going to record my weight until my body is back to normal. I did work out my weight average for the week. I’m down 1.6 kilos from the week before average. A lot of that was food and water, but I’m still showing consistent weight loss. I am also really full all the time and finding the balance of my diet is helping with my satiety issues. I’d been eating less for a month and that’s when I felt hungrier and more like binging.

Going to do my work out with a focus on abs today which is always a struggle. I have a six pack and really strong abdominal muscles. They are hidden under a handful of loose skin and it doesn’t matter how much I work out it will always be there. I find it even harder as now I’m back pretty much to my 20 year old body (with the addition of loose skin) no one would expect it. I wear skinny jeans and I can see I look great and slim and muscular. Yet tucked into my jeans is that skin and my upper thighs are ruined too. I have hanging skin there. I lost weight over 4 years and exercised daily and I can’t even imagine what I’d look like now if I hadn’t worked out. I worry if I ever meet someone how will I even start to tell them about my ruined body under clothes and I know people here know how that feels and looks.

Feel really tired, hormonal and sick today. I feel like I have a cold which I don’t. Tough to be motivated to get my steps and workout done today. Probably overdid it yesterday with all the extra chores and garden work. Just going to take it easy. Had a text from the guy I met on Friday so I guess that means we did hit it off. Still no weigh in feel super bloated.
