Question Hi! Newbie here. Just found out I’m pre diabetic

I’m joining this group because I need support… which I’m sure is why a lot of us join. Is there any other good groups I should join? Also does anyone know if they have Skype weight loss meetings? I just feel lost. My dad just had his leg amputated last year due to diabetes. And now it’s my chance to turn this around before it gets worse. I’m trying my best but it’s hard, I’m known to self sabotage. At least I’m aware of it now, but still 😫 I’ve lost 17lbs in 2 weeks, I know it goes fast whenever you first start. But I still have almost 100lbs to go to be considered “healthy”. I’m trying to look at this as a life style change not a diet. I’m in horrible shape, just being real. I went through a really bad depression and didn’t leave my house and barely left my bed for a few years and I packed on the pounds during that time. Now that I’m doing better and actually trying I really want to get my health together so any advise, support anything I would really appreciate. I don’t feel like I have anyone in real life to talk to about this stuff. Anyway! I hope to make some new friends. Thanks for letting me join 😊

Hi Trying2change! We have a thread for those working to lose weight with Diabetes/Prediabetes. There are 3 of us who have been regulars for years and we also get occasional posters join in. We would be happy to have you join us and offer whatever suggestions we can. Here is the current thread,and we will soon start the Spring thread. Come on in!
