December can be a tricky month for this challenge. Let's tackle it together!
Join the December Weight Loss Challenge to set your goal, track it, and meet it -- with the help of a supportive and encouraging group. All the goals will be compiled into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.
This thread is for weight loss goals. For your exercise goals, check out our sister thread: December Exercise Challenge
Good luck to all this month. 😀
I’m keeping my goal small given all the parties, celebrations etc that will happen this month. While I’d like to see more of a loss, for me being under 180 is a great accomplishment, so that is my goal… small goal only 2lbs… but getting it off & keeping it off until the end of the month will be the challenge. 🕎🎄🥳

Congrats to everyone for their losses in November!
I had a nice drop at the beginning of December so I'm going to try for 5 lbs this month. Not sure if I can do it over the holiday season but I'm going to try. I'm off work for about a week over the holidays so I will see if I can get some extra exercise in over the holidays.
I have a nice streak of daily weighing, here. But I'll break it tomorrow. I'm having a tooth extraction done today and one of the rules is no bending forward during the initial recovery period. With my current set up, I can't weigh myself under that condition. Given that I'll be eating smoothies and milkshakes for a few days, the scale reading isn't going to provide useful information, anyway.
WendyWants2Change and MrBadger, you're off to a great start!
My five days of a soft food diet caused a significant loss. I'm not quite sure how to transition back to normal eating but maintain the loss, but I'm going to give it a shot!
Since I'm still avoiding crunchy foods, my transition back to normal is slow and, so far, I've maintained the loss and even added a little this morning.
How is everyone else doing in the middle of the month?
I'm happy to be maintaining the loss from earlier in the month. Today, I get to add crunchy foods back to my diet after my tooth extraction. I'm going to attempt to do that with great care and monitor the situation to make sure it doesn't cause me to re-gain.
