Default Just Chat - Tuesday, September 30

This has been some month for me! I am amazed to be at the last day after all that has happened. Life!

H. is just wakening up and I'm about to slip into Wife/Nanny/Nurse Deisel mode so this'll be quick. More laundry, veggie freezing, a walk, a library trip and a dentist trip are on the schedule. Remind me to think about dinner too! Like I'd ever forget to eat!

Happy sunny Tuesday but a wee bit cold at 40F!

Darling, could you please use Celsius.
Laundry. This is very environmentally unfriendly, but I often think of throw-away clothes. Some sort of paper, perhaps. Recyclable. It stuns me when I think I've got a grip on the laundry only to find yet another bulging basket of dirty clothes.
Where did Eve and Adam live?

DH brought home a bag of those... what are they called... pork rinds? last night. Geez, they're DISGUSTING! Even I couldn't eat them!

Good morning. I am with you all on the laundry thing. It is never ending. I would rather clean the toilet. LOL. Somedays I wish I could hire a cute laundry boy. Pork rinds yuck the name in it self sounds bad.

G'morning!

I'm late today and think I've missed coffee!! Boo Hoo!! Did someone save me a cup?

Marcie - Why dream of black olives??? Lime chicken sounds goooood! Now I have to get to the market!!! Black olives and lime chicken even sound good together!! Are olives OP?

DH does the laundry. I'm supposed to fold and put away. I'd happily trade him, but should be thankful he shares the "load" (so to speak)! I have piles of folded summer clothes on the dressers and I guess it's time to make the switch here too. Usually we have an "Indian Summer" and I am not sure what to have readily available!!! My DD6 wanted to wear her new black boots with shorts today! Yikes! She approved my suggestion of the long denim skirt instead. Whew!

Ellis: It's gonna be a wee bit chilly here today too. Around 60 F . I have no idea how to convert it to Celcius! Sorry Honey! It's sad that we Americans are so extremely ethno-centric!!!
Wanna hear something scary? I vaguely remember disposable bathingsuits and other clothes in the 1970s. They WERE paper-ish!!! heee heee I think I've dated myself!

Ruth: It's so good to be an optimist! I'm sure October will be a better month too! We'll just all decide that now together! October will be better for all of us!!! Who's in???

Little Chick: We have to close up our pool so maybe I could convert "Juan the Poolboy" into "Jose the Laundry Boy" Which days do you want him? We'll share!!!
(BTW, we dont really have a pool boy!!! )

Have a lovely day ladies!!!
Ciao for now!

I'm in on the better October thingy!!

Gonna try to tell dh that laundry is his job actually he helps a lot. But I do the majority of it. Over the weekend I swear I did 6 loads and it's not like I don't throw in a load jsut about every day. Also managed to get my summer/winter clothes switched.

Cool here too but I am loving it can't wait for the leaves to change color. Then I get my laundry revenge as leaves/snow are dh's job.

We Americans are a little self absorbed I think, remember that metric push? when was that? the 70s I think. Didn't go over real big here. Anyway have a sparkling day!

PS Ruth~ Remember dinner

HI ALL!!! It is chilly here and the high today is supposed to be 50F. (SORRY ELLIS!!!) I turned the heat on today, because it was COLD in here this morning.

Lizzie and Rowan-Thanks for the info!! I need to get exercising, and am thinking about Curves. Need to pay off the dryer first though!!!

Sflake-I can relate!! We spent 3 hours at the laundromat last Sunday, and if the new dryer isn't delivered soon I am going to go on strike!!!

Robin-I need coffee too.....I'm deep in hibernation mode because of the chilly weather!!!

Little chick-I hate laundry, but i REALLY hate cleaning the toilet!!! (# guys and me, what can I say?!?)

Ellis-I LIVED on those things when I was doing Atkins!!! Probably one of the reasons I felt queasy so often!!!

Marcie-BLACK OLIVES? That is pretty good!! I have been having STRANGE dreams lately!!!

Ruth-I bet you are glad that September is ending!!! I sure hope that October is better for you and for Harry.

Hi, Chickies!!

Coming in for a visit late today! Ruth, hope you don't mind, I'm brewing a small pot of coffee even at this late afternoon date. I'm chilly today!!

The high here is only 60F, and this evening it will dip into the 40's. Fall is definitely here. I don't believe September is coming to an end.....but I know it's good riddence for many of you. I know that October will be a great month here on the Beach for all.

My DH is taking me to a movie this afternoon, and then to dinner. I already know what I'll be having....grilled skinless chicken breast, veggies, and salad. Staying OP is getting easier for me. Passing up bread, and chips at restaurants is OK for me now!

I'm reading a good book that Franny told me about. It's called "The Secret Life Of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. Kinda sad , but definitely well written! I'm enjoying it!

I'm making the Roasted Chickpea recipe today, Ruth. I hear it's addictive! We'll see.

Marcie.....I need that recipe for Yogurt Lime Chicken. Sounds yummy!!! Also, about the dream....I put those on my salads. Are they OP????? I'm still losing, and eating them!

Bye Chickies....talk later!

Just a quick hello. I seem to alway miss the morning coffee. Can't you tell I'm a night person? Is there another night person out there?
Lime chicken sounds great. Ruth did you remember dinner?
Sharon: what movie did you see? We went to see 'Secondhand Lions' It was a wonderful film.

October 1st. Hope we all have a successful new month.

Hey Lovely Ladies,
We had our power line something or other blow and I did not have power from 8pm - Noon the following day! Just a quick note to say that I enjoyed hearing about everyone's day and look forward to the wonderful month of October....
