March 2022 - Daily Accountability/Lifestyle Change - Everyone Welcome!
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great month!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
Thank you Diana for starting the new month's thread.
I went to the gym this morning and will go back again tomorrow, rain or no rain LOL
WI, I am not going to for awhile.
The family over for games was so much fun, I kept thinking of Teri and Rachel how you would fit right in! Our last game we played was dominoes. This set is so old it showed I paid $6.00 for it. They are heavy and I think I bought them back around 1978....yikes.
Nancy I have never played games because I am an only child and small family. We had game night at church on Friday and played Uno. It was the version with the machine that shoots out the cards. That was hilarious!
Syckgirlsfv Were you able to get to sleep last night? Melatonin has been helpful for me. It doesn't work for everyone.
Steps from yesterday: 7,047
Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.
For me, the problem is not my stomach, it's my brain.

Romans 5:3
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience.
The growl of his stomach sounded like a ferocious beast. He felt light-headed and nervous. He kept telling himself that he couldn't really be hungry; it was just his imagination. The gnawing hunger would not abate. Before long he just felt like crying. As much as he wanted to lose weight, he just couldn't face the beast that growled in his midsection. In disgust, he pushed away from his desk and headed out to eat. A hard part of dieting is showing our stomach who is boss. When our stomachs rule, we lose. Turn to the Lord when weakness sets in. He will see us through.
Today's thought: I'm not letting my stomach push me around anymore!
Diana: Thanks again and again for this month's start up! I hope everyone has lots of success achieving their goals.
I swam/did the efflexor last night. Nothing so far today. I made tabouli and tuna salad yesterday and some oatmeal cookies with apple sauce and walnuts. Alas, I got gobsmacked, or should I say cookie smacked this am. I have only been making cookies once/month. I need to figure out how to eat my own desserts without going overboard...
It looks like spring is coming around. My neighbors have yellow winter aconite blooming.
Good morning
No WO today, was going to go to the gym then was going to workout at home them ....well I started purging my office closet yesterday and my office/art studio/gym has several boxes on the floor now that I am sorting through. I need to run to the $$ store for some organizational tools. Then I can put everything back where it belongs. At least the things I am keeping.
WI did not do that today either. Tomorrow maybe
Diana, Uno Attach (the one that shoots the cards) is a lot of fun. We play that often when there are 4 or more of us. We usually play blackjack, farkle, uno attack, and now dominos. We have several more games for just two players. My brother and I tend to play those when everyone else is gone. More strategy games since we are both pretty competitive.
Happy March 1st to all .... so far so good this week. Staying focused with fasting and eating windows. Today, I broke my fast with 16 hours 45 minutes. I enjoyed delicious cajun salmon, roasted brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes. Dessert was carrot cake. Omggg it was delicious. My window will close early tonight and not the usual 8pm; however, I will enjoy a dish of sauteed cabbage (hubby makes the best - yum) and a yogurt for dessert. I do not want to count calories or count points every again. I am trying to be mindful of my food choices. That carrot cake was a necessity. LOL...first ingredient is carrot. I need to get this body moving more. So when I do have a treat such as this, I will feel less guilty. Although I can have it, sometimes I do feel guilty. Years of dieting. Working on ridding my mind of diet mentality.
My goals for this month is to lose 8-10 pounds and hopefully 2 inches off waist and hips. Get my body moving with Leslie Sansone. Please keep me accountable team. I can do it.
Today was good even though I ate 3 small pita triangles! Lol my boss ordered food for us from a Greek grill, so I got saffron chicken kabob on Greek salad with the dressing on the side. I didn’t use much of it, either. Breakfast was a flax muffin I made with ground flax, egg white, oil, baking powder, and cinnamon. That’s all I’ve had so far. DH bought wine. I am trying not to have any. Thinking of a salad for dinner with grilled chicken and feta but that’s about it.
Deuteronomy 31:8
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Sylvia was such a support. She really did know what the other women were going through. Not so long ago, Sylvia had weighed well over two hundred pounds. If anyone had earned the right to speak, it was Sylvia. Somehow it made it easier having someone around who was both sympathetic to the struggle and had been successful. Sylvia was indeed a blessing. It does help to have others around who have been down the road we are walking. These people can be a great source of comfort and courage. Thank God that these examples exist for us to follow. The Lord will not fail us.
Today's thought: I have no fear of failure, for the Lord is with me!
