Talking Here's to Friday at the Beach DAILY 9/12

It is finally Friday.

What was the BEST thing that you either did, thought or planned for?

Everyday comes and goes and before you know it a whole week has passed.

Today we are just thinking about the positive things that took place.

Think positive and you will act positive.

Put a smile on your face, a happy song in your heart and go out and make this a great day.

Grand-Daughter, I POSITIVELY think you are FANTASTIC. This is YOUR positive thought and mantra for today.

Hugs to you all,
Lady

Good Morning Marcie & later arriving Beachsters,

Whew, I'm glad we're at Friday. Yesterday was a heavy one in terms of somberness and remembrance. I'm welcoming today and the power of positive thinking that it's bringing via our CO early-rising and very young Grandmother.

Ii'm going to Hatha Yoga this a.m. so will be leaving shortly. -... later I'm going to stand on line until either my DS or his GF arrive - they're going to the dress rehersal for Conan O'Brien's Tenth Anniversary Show - they have an invitation but no ticket - have to queue up!

OK, Chicksters - gotta get going, but I'll check back in later to read all your positive posts!

Have a GREAT day on the Beach, smiling, for sure!

Aw, Grandma Marcie! I needed that mantra for today! Still struggling with my forced change in diet and my imposed lisp. Trying not to be a big baby about it, but am already sick of eating soft food...I want a SALAD!

I guess the best thing I did this week was because of the negative thing that happened. This stupid orthodontic appliance has made me realize how resiliant I am. A year ago this setback would have been my excuse to eat nothing but ice cream, danish, and mashed pototoes! But now...I don't want those things. I want MY food. I want MY favorite salads and crunchy veggies. I caved twice already and had my favorite coffee drink, but it will get better and I won't feel the need for the comfort.

Plus, I took the batteries out of my scale on Sunday and haven't put them back in! Of course there is no telling what the metal monster will say when I let it have it's batteries back!

Gotta run...I have to leave for home in less than 10 minutes and I still have a bit of work to finish up! I'll check in again later and get the challenge thread started!

Well, this has not been the best week of my life!

However, there are some positive things to dwell on:
- there appears to be no physical damage to H.
- he has retained lots of skills - like feeding the dogs and emptying the dishwasher
- if I don't do the registration for the Terry Fox run, it still will happen
- I found out that eating a whole package of ju-jubes does not change anything except my weight (I think I knew that before )
- I have unlimited support from both my 3FC friends and my other life friends.

So I'm off to get through today and will watch for positive things.

"Ya gotta accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative.
Put the stress on the affirmative.
Don't mess with Mister In-Between!"

Now where the heck did that come from?

Thumbs down

Hi Ruthie!

Hugs to you and your DH Harry. Good news that he can use the dishwasher and feed the dogs! One step at a time...

Watch out for those evil jujubes - they're also bad for your teeth.

I know we're the same vintage b/c I remember that song from when I was in grade school and (ahem) I think it's "don't mess with Mr. In-between" I think the Andrew Sisters sang it.

I'm back from my shakey yoga class (I'm the one who was shaking! )

I've got my feet firmly planted on the Beach and I'm back in 'the zone of WL"...

All you other Beachsters - THANKS for your positive posts and insights - you guys are the BEST!

Gald everyone is happy that it is Friday. Today is actually my Monday. Wed at 7 am will be my Friday.

Today is a good day. Been cleaning like a bandit at work. Have to call the lazy sons who are not working today to get their behinds in gear. All **** will break loose if things are not done by the time mudder gets home!!!!

I was tired for most of this week. After reading some of the threads I decided that I HAVE to take the iron supplements and a vitamin, at least. I did for yesterday and did a work out and felt great.

Franny- you work shift , Do you seem to stay up later than normal the nights you have work the next day? Or even stay lounging like a slug the nights you have to go in?

I was up once again till after 2 a.m. I can say that at least this time I felt better than normal with less than 4 hours sleep....

Have a blessed day everyone,
Cam

Wow, this board sure has gotten busy in the (almost) two months I've been coming here! I love all of the people and all of the posts, but miss a day or two and it takes forever to get caught up!

I read yesterday's daily, and was reminded once again of how wonderful, loving, and caring the people who post here are. Even though I didn't lose any friends or family on September 11, 2001, that day shook me to my core, and I felt (and still feel now) such a huge loss.

Ruth, I'm continuing to send lots of positive thoughts and prayers to you and Harry. I wish there was something I could do to help make things easier for you both.

Hi and Happy Friday to everyone else!!! Hope your day is going well.
