Good morning, chicks, and welcome to the new month. I can't believe July has flown by!

I am using the new month to get myself back on plan. July was a little too much of the "vacation" mindset; I made lots of good choices but they were supplemented with too many desserts, adult beverages and eating out. I'm going to do a full week of no cheat P1 and then go from there.

I must say it is great to have some new people regularly posting. Our numbers were a little thin for a bit and I am glad we are a bigger group right now.

Today is going to be rainy so it will be inside chores. (Of course, they predicted rain that never came yesterday. ) Anyway, today I will shampoo the living room furniture and perhaps actually succeed in dragging DH to the furniture store as well.

Have a great day, chicks!

Good morning,

Didn't have time to check in yesterday, was a very busy day. Work is still stressful due to uncertainty of what is going to happen in the future, trying to just focus on day to day. I have to go in today for several meetings. Eating has been so so, Monday managed a full day op but yesterday did well all day until dinner. Today is back on track, my back has been bothering me since I woke up yesterday so babying that as well.

Beth I am going to try and focus more on eating in August as well.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning!
Those sound like great plans, ladies.
Sorry your back is hurting, Pearlrose. Hope it's better soon.
This newbie is especially happy to be here. I have no doubt this group helped me stay the course my 1st month.
Yesterday a lc tort at lunch set my hunger off. I haven't craved something sweet after a meal since before ph1. An afternoon protein bar helped & lots of raw vegs before dinner. I had one of those tortillas last week at dinner without any problem. I don't get it, other than afternoons were my hungry time & I was vulnerable. I think I'll keep starches to dinner. I was hoping to try overnight oats for breakfast, but might wait. I still haven't touched fruit, but I know to have protein with when I do.
I'll be traveling tomorrow again, will checkin as I can. Hosting a baby shower for DD2. She brought me to tears inviting me to an ultrasound while I'm there. I am so stinking excited!

Good morning, chicks.

Feeling good today; yesterday was mostly OP; I had a few blueberries so technically I wasn't P1 but that was such an improvement that I'm not sweating it. Going for another good day today.

I got the couch and recliners cleaned yesterday so I'm feeling good about that. Today we may take a drive and a short walk in the mountains. I'll pick out my dream retirement home along the way.

Cenari, some times I know what sets off my eating and some days I have no clue. I'm making a conscious effort not to bring my temptation foods into the house.

Have a good day, chicks.

Good morning!

I went down late last night and cleaned the laundromat so I could sleep in a bit this morning. I知 going to go back there soon to do some repairs but thought I would check in first. Food was pretty good yesterday. I did forget to weigh in this morning before I came downstairs for my coffee. Well tomorrow will arrive soon enough.

Ceneri, it痴 really interesting to me how different foods affect different people. For years I could not eat oatmeal in the morning without being very hungry within a few hours but now it doesn稚 bother me. I still make it a super veggie smoothie which is my standard breakfast. Not super tasty and not for everyone but it works for me.

Beth, glad to hear you got so many blueberries. It is funny how we finally tire of the harvest process. I finally let the rest of my cherries go to the birds and have focused on picking raspberries with my sister.
Rose, sorry for all the stress at work. Not fun and not helpful with the food choices sometimes either. I hope your back is getting better.

I am going to have one more cup of coffee before I get going this morning. Think I will enjoy it outside and watch the hummingbirds. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning,

Sorry didn't check in yesterday it was a busy day. Our team did a building team day and we went to Escape the room which had all of us working together a fun couple of hours to try and get rid of some of our stress. Today I think is full day wfh for me, I do have to go register DD2 for school and the band is putting on a parent performance for end of camp. Food still has not been good, but I recognize I am stress eating and so trying to do better at food choices. I went for a walk outside (slow due to back) but still got in almost 2 miles. Back is getting slowly better, hopefully should be back to normal in a couple of days as long as I don't push it.

Beth glad you are able to enjoy the last bit of summer

Cenari sounds like fun plans

Debbie glad you have been able to do good food choices. You leave next week to visit your brother right?

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, Chicks!
All ya'll are all over the place busy. I look forward to seeing your updates.
I did manage to stay on plan yesterday & so far, today. Vegs are short, tho. Tomorrow I may have some planned 3 bite cheats, there will be cake.
The rain here has been relentless, hopefully, tomorrow it will let up.
Did I mention tomorrow there will be cake?...lol

Good afternoon, chicks.

Yesterday was quite nice and I was almost OP; just a small dessert. Since we did a lot of walking I'm happy with it; it was a better food day than many in July.

Today is relaxing at home although I did run out to the grocery store. DH wants lasagna tonight (lentil noodles, Rose!) and I will make a small pan of zucchini lasagna for me.

It's crazy humid outside so soon I will be off to the basement to exercise and then maybe pick some of the last berries.

Cenari, I am still mastering the concept of "planned cheats" without going overboard. I think dessert needs to be an eating out only thing.

Rose, sounds like a fun day with your colleagues!

Debbie, I seem to have fewer hummers this year. I miss watching them.

Later!

Good morning chicks.

Amazing how 2 days of OP eating can help; I dropped 2 pounds of what I know was just water weight but it's nice to see the scale move down rather than up. I am going to try to keep on keeping on for the rest of the month and see how much I can lose before school starts. In my dream world it's about 3 more pounds but I know the next ones will be tougher.

Not sure what is on today's agenda. The lasagna was great and DH even ate some of the zucchini type! I've converted him to eating a lot more veggies, which is great. I also made a NS blueberry pie; I had a small piece but will wrap and freeze the rest.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday, whatever you plan!

Good morning,

It is nice outside but going to be a hot one. Not sure what is on the agenda after cleaning house this morning. Back is still bothering me but getting better.

Beth I have decided to join you for the rest of the month of trying to stay op, going to try for a full two weeks of Phase 1 not so much for cravings as more for mental focus, really need it.

Have a great day everyone

Hi Everyone!

I just found this site so this is my first post here. I知 on day 4 of the SBD. I知 feeling a little off (headache and a bit lethargic), but what I知 noticing the most is that my stomach is constantly rumbling, even though I知 eating plenty. I was literally up most of last night because of it. I知 hoping this will pass soon!

Other than that, I知 happy to be back on track. Several years ago I lost about 20 pounds on this program, so I know it works. 👍🏻

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Lilly

Good morning,

Managed a full day op going for second day. On the agenda is doing some work outside, weeding and such. Here's to another day op

Welcome Lily, are you possibly eating too much sugar free items? That will make your stomach rumble for sure.

Debbie sounds like today will be busy for you, safe travels

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, chicks.

Lilly, welcome! It's great to have you join us. Even though you have already done SB I suggest you check out the FAQ section for a refresher about foods and also transitioning to P2 as well as the massive recipe section. Those of us who are regulars here credit our continuing success to checking in daily even if we don't always talk about food.

Not much new here: took a walk and did a little gardening yesterday. Food is pretty good; I froze the rest of the pie in individual slices so that is good. Not sure what is on today's agenda. It's going to be 90* again so maybe DH will grill dinner for us.

Debbie, thinking of you as you prep for your trip. I hope it will be more good than stress. It's great you can help your brother.

Rose, hope the back is getting better. Sending you good vibes!

Have a good day all.
