Default April Daily Challenge to Stay On Track and Avoid Binges

I have been struggling to get back on track so I am challenging myself to stay on point with my eating and exercise for one full month. I have been struggling for so long to get to a goal weight of 165. The closet I've come was 192 about 2.5 years ago. I just can't seem to stick with my plan more than a few months. I started this journey at 237 and today I am 214 so I've not gained it all back yet. This time I am also setting a goal of sticking to the plan through the rest of the year. I'm sure there will be bumps in the road along the way but I will not allow myself to be completely thrown off course again.

Everyone is welcome to join the challenge!

My first day's log

B: 1 Pk Instant grits, 2 pcs Canadian bacon, Coffee
L: Baked chicken breast, Mixed veggies, 1 Weight Watchers snack bar
D: 1/2 C chicken salad on a bed of lettuce & tomato, 1 pc Dove dark choc
S: Handful of nuts
Exercise: Firm Cardio Overdrive

It's not even noon yet and I've just had a curve ball thrown my way!!! I got an email from a co-worker that a meeting was cancelled today but it's too late to cancel the lunch order so I can go have a free lunch. It is a buffet lunch and I am soooo tempted to take her up on the offer. I brought in a baked chicken breast and mixed veggies for lunch and I want to stick to eating that. I am going to pass on the free lunch and stick to my plan. IT IS SO HARD to do but I gotta do it! I know that each little success will help me get back in the zone!

I CAN DO THIS!!!

The temptation won't stop!!! My co-worker just brought by a huge chunk of chocolate cake for me! I politely thanked him and told him that I just started a very strict diet and I couldn't have it right now. I gotta get through the day OP.

GettinFit - I saw your thread and it sounds so much like me. I have been off and on the crazy weight loss/gain for so long. I just had my annual ladies check-up. I was down to 152 lbs in 2014. I am back up to 201.1 as of today. I do pretty good all week, and then blow it eating and drinking on the weekend. At the beginning of the month I gave up Diet Coke and white bread. So, I would love to help support you if you will help me. My husband bought me an iwatch for my 50th in December. I am working on trying to close my rings at least 20 of the 30 days in April. I am also tracking points with WW. My goal for April is to be at 195.

Weight: 201.1
Today's plan:
Breakfast: Quaker weight control oatmeal and banana
Lunch: 1 can tuna in water, 1 tbs of hellman's light mayo, 1 tbs of spicy brown mustard, and 2 tbs of dill relish (mixed), 1/2 cup small curd yogurt, carrots
Snack: pear
Dinner: 2 cups homemade chilli
Exercise: Turbo Jam with parts of Biggest Loser

Hi Boatingmom,

It's nice to have you join me. Yes it is hard but we can do it. The weekend is the hardest time for me too. Let's be sure to check in this weekend for accountability. I missed my at work WW meeting today but I plan on going to a meeting on Friday morning. Hopefully that will give the mojo to stay on track on Sat & Sun.

I hope you have a great evening.

GettinFit - I'm up and at 'em this morning. Absolutely no weight change, very frustrating! 201.3

I did my Turbo Jam last night and then took a brisk walk to make sure all of my fitness rings were filled on my iwatch. I wish our weather here would break so that I could do some walking. We keep having rain, followed by snow with maybe one sunny day thrown in. We have a great walking park in our little town, and I miss it!

Hope you have a great day!

B - 1/2 cup small curd cottage cheese, egg, 1 cup v-8 low sodium
L - Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer, banana
D - Thin sliced roast beef, green beans

Hang in there Boatingmommy. I'm sure the scale will go down for you soon. After I had an intense uphill walk on Tuesday, the scale stayed the same for me yesterday but today I saw a 1 pound drop. You are going to be in Onederland real soon.

Enjoy your day

B: Cappuccino, 2 SL Raisin bread (didn't want to eat until after W/I at WW)
L: Shrimp/Grits w/salsa,
D: Pineapple, blueberries,
S: popcorn, apple
Exercise Firm DVD or walk

Yippee! I saw the scale move! 199.8 - Just barely into Onederland, but I'll take it. Now, I'm scared as **** because it is the weekend and the weather is going to be crappy. I do so much better when the weather is nice and we can get outside and work on home projects. Instead we always seem to be checking out some new restaurant or micro brewery. I vow to stay strong this weekend, though.

Good for you GettinFit! 45 minute walk is awesome! I got to walk yesterday too! I am happy to hear that you are feeling motivated. You'll be right behind me into Onederland before you know it! Hope you have a great Friday!

Today's plan:
B - Jimmy Dean Delights sandwich
L- Cottage Cheese and Veggies
D- Have 't honestly thought that far ahead. I hope to come home from work and get my exercise in before doing anything else!

Congrats on onederland Boatingmommy! I hope you are able to make it through the weekend. You can do it! It's supposed to raining here all day tomorrow so it may be a bit of a challenge for me but we can do this.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday

Happy Sunday! Hope you are doing well. I'm not going to lie, I totally fell off program on Friday due to beers with friends. I'm back up to 201.1 this am...but I have been working hard to make up for it the rest of the weekend. I got up this morning and cleaned house and I just finished my Turbo Jam workout. I'm a sweaty mess, but glad I got it done. I have a stupid work retreat that I leave for this afternoon. It is in Southern Illinois in wine country. My boss has a wine tasting planned and pot luck. Ugh, I really don't want to deal with the temptation, but I have to go and deal with it. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hope you are having a great weekend! "Talk" to you tomorrow! I'm not going to post a plan for today, because I have not idea what will happen. I had a healthy breakfast and I've got some cottage cheese, V8 and tuna for lunch.

Good morning Boatingmommy

So sorry I didn't post over the weekend and I'm sorry that you feel off but just think that it will be better this coming weekend. Great job on doing your TJ workout. I have those DVDs but haven't done them in years. I hope you survive the wine tasting and pot luck. WOW you do have some challenges to face. Hang in the!

My weekend wasn't too bad but could have been a little better. I ate pretty healthy but I ended up drinking almost an entire bottle of wine between Fri & Sat night. I spent the entire weekend getting my house ready for guests this weekend so I was pretty busy and didn't have time to think about eating junk food. When I went shopping I was so tempted to buy some sweets at Walmart but I resisted. I kept walking by and looking but I stayed strong. I did have a little too much Skinny Pop popcorn too. Better to be popcorn than the tortilla chips I had last weekend. This weekend will also be challenging for me because of having guests and we will be going out to eat a lot and I am having a party at my house on Sat night. I am going to give it my all to stay pretty close to the program. I will eat light and save all of my bonus points for the weekend.

I hope you have a better week and weekend

Weight today 211

B: Reduced fat cheese stick, banana, blueberries
L: Salad w/chicken breast, dressing, 1 WW Pretzel Blast
D: Chick-Fil-A chicken tenders, side salad
S: Wheat thins, Oikos greek yogurt
Exercise: Walk
