Default Expectations?

Hi all

Ive been following along here for some time. You are all such great inspiration. I had tried a weight lifting program a while ago, but life got in the way and I didnt get very far.

So....no more excuses!! Im half way thru the BFL book and Im thinking I can do this. My question to give myself an idea what to expect and set my goal at, is........

1. During your 1st 12 week challenge, what did you loose, in lbs and inches?

2. What muscle gain did you have?

3. Then someone please explain to me how I know the difference between both when Im measuring this.

Im sure I'll have more questions once I get going.

Thanks Robin

Hey Robin,

You can do it if you try! Make sure that you read the book all the way through and even re-read the ‘crossing the abyss’ chapter.

What to expect….. hmmm that’s a hard one because everybody gets different results. Some lose fat really quickly and build muscle quickly and others don’t.

If you check the Stats, please thread you can see everyone’s results, including mine.

To determine muscle gain and fat loss you need to get your body-fat measured and weigh yourself. If you give me those 2 pieces of information I can show you how it works! (I see you weigh 197.5)

There are a few ways but the simiplest is to go to your gym and ask for caliper body fat testing. They 'pinch' you in various areas and determine your bodyfat for you. The only thing I would NOT recommended is the Tanita scale - it is completely useless!
